I am finding it amusing that the press are heralding the incoming as if it is Steven Gerrard the player in his prime as opposed to Steven Gerrard the under 18 youth coach.
A 3 year contract in his first management role must be a dream for him. Sevco burdening their wage bill further on a punt is good news.
According to an ex Celt if he was to play he would be the best payer in the league
even at the age of 37 ,Bellamy the ex Celt sniffing glue live on tv.

They’re already doing that thing they always do...setting expectations far too high; they’re doomed to failure from the start. Poor Stevie doesn’t stand a chance.
He's used to it he captained England.

He’s also saying the big money is enough to secure second next season

And for this significant outlay ... (ignoring the fact they cannot break even), exactly what will be this investors return for second over third or fourth.

And when they've blown this on xfers and extra wages and fail to make European Progres ... what then.

I'm just amazed there's so many "businessmen" willing to chuck their hard earned down the shampooter ...   (Disclaimer: I still think it's moonbeams)

I thought the Parks were bad enough.

What do your mean "how would that work"? A man from Singapore will turn up at the bank and deposit £120m in the rangers bank account.

What part of that is difficult to understand?

The best thing about this for me is that, IF he's joining them, they will have to spend - relatively speaking - decent money (no way he would agree otherwise).

Money they simply don't have.

They're already up to their necks in debt.

Directors jumping ship and the storm clouds are gathering.

Rangers died chasing the Big Cup ... Sevco could very well die trying to stop The Ten.

You can easily reverse the old motto here. For every fiver they spend we will spend a tenner. Fully expect us to go on a spree with the Dembele and CL money.

It's conveniently ignored that whilst they will strengthen, we won't stand still. The board will have the same insatiable appetite for 10 as we do. They won't let anything get in the way of that.

Wee Barry's insight into Gerrard, "During my time in England I played against him a number of times and I met him last summer when we were part of a Star Sixes tournament. He even bought me and the Scotland boys a beer".

Rangers deserve credit for Steven Gerrard but board must give him full control - Barry Ferguson
Barry believes his old team are doing an excellent bit of business if they get the Liverpool legend in the door.

See all this investment money (p*ssing myself laughing) that there seemly going to get you they would they first have to pay there compensation to pedro, warbuton, murty etc
They are taking a punt on the name of a footballer not the experience they have. I can just see it now Stevie g and co in snowy windy Baltic night in say Peterhead when they have replay on the Scottish cup and on the same night the pool are flying high in champions league... Oh what glorious night that would be and regrets a plenty

£120m warchest?

I know who I’ll be going when the new Football Manager comes out ha ha ha

A full media blackout is advisable to all.

It’s also amazing the amount of Huns that have crawled out from under the 3-2 stone.

It never takes much :lolhuns:
