Gerrard never struck me as the sharpest tack in the box, but eff me he's a cretin if he's taking that mess on.

Any news on the huge Investment, just a thought, we are awash with cash, we have been prudent with our signing's and general business, so the thought is as they get more, and more desperate to stop the 10, we can up the ante, and for every fiver they spend......
I'd be surprised (nay amazed) if Gerrard has agreed to come in without some kind of assurance over what budget he is getting. Now whether he can trust GLIB is a different matter entirely but I am pretty sure that he has been promised funds for squad improvement. I personally think even 20m wouldn't touch the sides with that squad but who knows.
Where on earth are they going to scrimp £20 million together from?

20 mill a season for the next three seasons might get them to where we currently are.
Gerrard must know they turnover 30m.

How could he seriously ask for two thirds of that?

Probably be a mix of a couple of EPL ageing pros and Liverpool youth players

To be fair to Gerrard getting three years salary for one year's work is a belter of a deal.

Gerrard has been seeking assurances on the size and scale of his transfer budget and it’s believed his decision has been based upon the promise of fresh investment.

Rangers chairman Dave King has offered guarantees of the sums available to mount a credible challenge to Celtic - and Gerrard has intimated he’s up for the challenge

the fact that Gerrard even considered taking the job in the first place confirms he does not have a clue what is going on at ibrox

Yeah, and that isn't even taking the wagebill into account and what that kind of spend would add to it. The whole thing makes no sense to me unless Gerrard has been promised significant money - the question then becomes where are they getting it.
The funds SG has been promised will be available just as soon as Trump finishes building his Mexican wall.

No sponsor worth having is driving by Celtic Park to put money into them, unless McGhees bakers have hit the big time.

Amazing my arse, it's stupidity of an order only known to the likes of Gerrard

I am more intrigued to know where the financial support is coming from and how much.

Could we be in for a surprise tomorrow ?
