Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
That's brilliant.
And yet I still find it amazing that the transfer thread gets filled with people calling lawell this and that if the club doesn't "push the boat out" or "break the bank" to get whatever player is being discussed. Every transfer window is the same.

Yeah but that's kind of the supporters job, to moan a lot and push for expensive new shiny things.

It's a decent boards job to play the parent and tell us 'no'.

Wheres all the Dyche chat came from?
Traynor's warped hun mind.
Guidi said on Clyde, he was told they approached Burnley a week or so ago (surely this would have made the press down there, if it were remotely true) "This wasn't about Rangers penny pinching, the figures were just too much, 4m to start with, before any add on's etc was what I have been told. Which is why to Rangers it was a non starter, but I have been told, there was encouragement from the other side."

Aeeee? Why would the Burnley board, want to encourage Rangers to go after their manager, who has just led them to 7th in the EPL?
The Burnley board wouldn’t, hence the £4 million compensation it would cost to buy out his contract, etc.

The DR and The Scottish Sun are running stories that Murray and Scott stepped aside to allow for others to join the board and bring investment in.

There is no explanation as to how this investment will come about or who from, just there will be investment and a transfer kitty.

So they have loans from other directors, a loan from Close Brothers, a dilapidated stadium but any money they get will be used to bring in players?

This will end well.
There is no money coming in. They've been trying to attract investment for the lifespan of their tenure, and it keeps on coming down to pocket change in soft loans, which have no hope of being turned into equity as long as King is at the helm.

But the huns at the Record can't say "they've stepped down because they don't want to be tarred by TOP sanctions", that would be too close to the truth.
Don’t doubt this for a second but at what point do the Parks jump ship? How big an impact will it have on their other businesses being so closely associated with King if/when he gets the cold shoulder?

That's about my limit. I don't want to get people either in bother or annoyed.

I know there are frequent alarm bells rung about impending doom BUT there is tangible evidence to support this particular shampoostorm.
TBH I was a wee bit surprised at Phil's announcement. It just adds to what I was told.

Hun client brought up the football in conversation, I mentioned being happy at celebrating 7iar - he phoned my boss & requested I don't go back, due to an inappropriate conversation that he didn't want to elaborate on.

Lmao :) :)
I love modern Scotland. Glad its improved so much and able to break the shackles of the past.
Happened to my GF a few years ago. It was after we beat them in the semi final of one of the cups. Griffiths scored the header near the start. 2-0 it finished.

Guy was getting an MRI and my GF had to get him ready etc, he was bricking it and it was her job to keep him calm before going into the MRI. HE is shaking uncontrollably and she is just speaking to him, to take his mind off it. Says his chain will need to come off, he hands her it, she sees its a Rangers one and she makes a light hearted joke about the game at the weekend. Something along the lines of "Just try and relax it will be easier than watching your teams performance at the weekend, I promise" He laughs along with her and she continues to keep him talking about other stuff as she would with every other patient, who was finding it tough.

Few days later she is called in, nearly got sacked because he complained, that she made sectarian remarks to her. :ffs: My GF isn't into football or sectarian stuff. Petty in the extreme.

The Parks are both FCA approved persons. Just saying.

https://register.fca.org.uk/ShPo_individualdetailsPage?id=003b000000jQSDJAA4
https://register.fca.org.uk/ShPo_individualdetailsPage?id=003b000000LV6wgAAD

The cold shoulder in theory only applies to FCA authorised companies doing work with the cold shoulderee on matters concerning stuff covered by the takeover code (i.e share dealing, bid writing, underwriting etc). It shouldn't affect day to day stuff, in practice the twice it's been done, the city took it upon themselves to shun both the cold shoulderee's and their businesses on pretty much all matters. They become persona non grata. No FCA authorised person with any sense is going be tied to the hip with someone who is flouting the Takeover Panel so consistently and so blatantly.

The way it was described to me is, the city knows it has a pretty sweet deal on takeovers and share dealing compared to other jurisdictions, essentially they're allowed to police themselves. In other places, there are governmental law enforcement powers and direct oversight, so the city as a collective is VERY concerned about issues which threaten that autonomy.

Yes, and there are no arrivals from Italy today. http://www.glasgowprestwick.com/passengers/flights-and-destinations/arrivals/

So unless he's flying privately I'd suggest it's bull.

There is no way Burnley would have entertained any approach for Dyche from Sevco. And absolutely none was made - it is yet more moonbeams.

Even if they had, he'd have told them where to go in double-quick time. He is extremely bright and very, very financially astute. He is also very well informed and advised about football matters.

Besides, if England bomb in Russia and Southgate walks, Dyche will be the number 1 home candidate for the FA. And he knows it.
