If there is 'investment' for equity presumably, even £20 million, Klub 1690 will see their holding percentage halved. If there is another share issue they will be diluted further, probably to around 3%. It's a completely busted flush unfortunately. All that will be left will be battles for brown brogues, with last man standing enjoying perks, everyone else outside looking in, after years of direct debits.
I cannot see how this can happen until King satisfies the TOP ruling. Would be months away.

I wonder what kind of people are behind this imminent "Investment", if the best idea they have for their hard earned cash is to give it to someone with absolutely no experience whatsoever in the job you'd be paying him megabucks to do. They must be terribly thick, these investors.

Glasgow is the best shopping city in the UK outside of London.

FWIW he wouldn't bring his family.
As someone else said, thats a myth unfortunately. I wish it was true.

Why would you not want him to bring his family ?

It takes a strange type of investor to put their money into something knowing they aren't going to see a penny of it again, let alone make a profit.

This concept seems lost on the huns / the media.

I’ve said it before, but Murray did such a number on the Celtic support that a lot of us cannot accept that they arejust shampooe skint amateurs in everything they do.

If it’s looks, swims and quacks like a desperate skint hun, then it probably isn’t going to be a grand masterplan thought up by the greatest minds of our generation.
Yup. Folk are looking for some hidden 4D chess move when there quite clearly isn't one. It's the final 'Hail Mary' punt from a career crook who knows the game's up.

It was a piece of piss punting season books 2 seasons back. Warburton had finally put Declan in his place and it was going to be a procession as they were #GoingFor55.

This season was a wee bit more difficult. We've just went undefeated, but not to worry. It's a one off. They've now got the Portuguese James Bond, bull fighting supremo with a encyclopaedic knowledge of the untapped North and South American markets. Once the Mexican boys arrive and Warbs losers are gone, 55 is on. Just a matter of time before Pedro charms his way to the title.

Wee bit more difficult now. You're skint. Everyone now knows you're skint and we've comfortably won the league without getting out of first gear. The slick City trader failed and 007 was a bust. Where'd you go from here? The dyed-in-the-wool Hun chose Aberdeen over you and a guy managing a Kilmarnock side made up of exclusively of free transfers and youth graduates sees Killie as a better prospect. You're effed. They're now putting all their eggs in a Steven Gerrard shaped basket. Ignore the 'name'. All their hopes are pinned on an U18's coach who's been in management for less than a year. Nothing's changed since Murray bolted, it's Monkeys with typewriters stuff.

Souness seems to think not having a clue is a good idea:

'Stevie, you have absolutely no idea what it is like'. Well, he probably hasn't, but that is not such a bad thing.

"Can you imagine Rangers players being coached on the training pitch by Steven Gerrard? He walks into the dressing room and he immediately commands total respect."

That last bit is utter bullshampoo. Gerrard could coach me from every day from 8 till 8 , for the next 10 years and it wouldn’t matter a fcuk.... I’d still be shampoo, because ..... I’m shampoo. Sevco players are shampoo and no amount of coaching from any carrot is going to change that

Gerrard is using Sevco to increase his chances of getting the new No 2 role at Liverpool. They're in the CL final now. Klopp will want someone like Gerrard in that dressing room before kick off. Think of the psychological lift it will give the squad getting a team talk from the guy that was 3-0 down at half time and went on to lift the trophy.

I'm telling you, Gerry bhoy is about to con the conman and the huns will implode - again.
Gerrard has no chance of being klopps number two. So its highly illustrative that he is in with a real chance of managing sevco.
Klopps number 2 is the tactical guy so Gerrard's not no chance.

Actually, Steve Clarke has shown this season at Kilmarnock that a good coach - especially someone who knows how to organise a defence - can make an almighty difference to teams previously considered to be hopeless. That’s why we should all be grateful that Sevco have decided to overlook such coaches and go for yet another bizarre left field gamble.

I read that too but it seems like quite a leap to go from Clarke to Gerrard. If the strategy was to appoint a Clarke-style coach who could bring some low-key organisation and steady progress, I don’t see how that suddenly gets them to Gerrard. But I suppose that sums up the lack of coherent planning.

Informed speculation is that the board is split on Gerrard. Maybe that's why Swiss Tony and Cillit Bang walked yesterday.

There's a successful management model in place at every club in the top 7 of the SPFL except one. Get an experienced head in and give him control

Sevco appear to have attempted to emulate this with McInnes, Clarke and Dyche but then abandoned it when they panicked and went for a season ticket selling squirrel.

Gerrard might get lucky, he might not, but if we look at the facts it seems unlikely he'll make much difference. His resources won't be dramatically different to those available to his predecessors, so it's up to the difference he can make personally.

Every manager they've had has achieved a similar level of performance. What's done each of them in ultimately is the reaction of the support once the team has failed to meet their unreasonable expectations.

They're solidly planted in the chasing pack behind us where Aberdeen, Hibs, Kilmarnock and Motherwell are. There's not a lot between those five teams and all are at the level you'd expect Sevco to be at given their form in the past few years. What they have is a combination of experience in the manager's office and stability behind the scenes. It's arguable that those two aspects are what's holding the better resourced Sevco back.

Not much seems likely to change soon either.
