The DR and The Scottish Sun are running stories that Murray and Scott stepped aside to allow for others to join the board and bring investment in.

There is no explanation as to how this investment will come about or who from, just there will be investment and a transfer kitty.

So they have loans from other directors, a loan from Close Brothers, a dilapidated stadium but any money they get will be used to bring in players?

This will end well.
There's no explanation why they have to stand aside to allow new "investors" on board either. They could have stayed. Load of shampooe
If they'd serious money coming they would have paid what Burnley wanted for Dyche.

He was willing to go to them somehow and would have been what they needed.

The Sevco two appear to have left the board after falling out with King about the Gerrard appointment (they wanted Clarke or similar) and the ongoing TOP issue.

It's the time of year when they may well have some new commercial deal to announce, but it'll not be anything like what it'll take to establish them at our level.

Once again they're making a bad situation worse.

Thankfully not.

Glasgow is the best shopping city in the UK outside of London.

FWIW he wouldn't bring his family.
Manchester wins comfortably on that score to be honest!

As for Gerrard, he lives (or used to live) in Southport not far from King Kenny. Not a bad part of the country really, if you've ever been.

He's not exactly living down Toxteth.

The logical explanation to directors leaving is a struggle over the direction of the club, and they're on the losing side and no longer willing to back things. That's serious enough as it is, this has zilch to do with investment.

The Huns sense of entitlement makes them think that someone should just hand over money to their club. Like the previous incarnation they overlook small things like playing by the rules.
The fantasy that they are getting £50 million investment has them going mad. Gerrard will be able to sign a new team to stop 10. They forget that even if someone did have £50 million to invest who would be daft enough to get involved while King and co could fold sbouldered.
Anyone wanting to invest needs to buy King off, get a Nomad, get agreement from shareholders to dilute their holding, buy the shares to pay off the £20 million soft loans. They are desperate and gullible.
Even if they did get £50m (I know) - it should be used to stabilise the club, not oor Billy.

STOP THE 10 - AT ALL COSTS

Has anyone considered the “ WAG “ factor in the Gerrard saga? Of course you haven’t.
I bet Alex Gerrard is having a seizure at the thought of moving to Glasgow.

When Stevie turns them down, he’ll cite family reasons, weans, school, settled etc
Can you see Alex Gerrard nipping into Govan Asda in full wag mode, carrying her enormous 10 grand
Chanel bag ?
Have you seen Liverpool?

Steady on..... :naught:

Really Chaps, I think the sheer stupidity of this Gerrard malarkey is blinding us into thinking there must be more than meets the eye, rather than seeing it as simply the latest in a string of half-baked schemes by a hopelessly incompetent board of directors who have arsed up every single aspect of their stewardship. And despite his circumspect, down to earth demeanour, Stevie G is still a rich-beyond-his-dreams football man who has lived his entire life in the football bubble; associating with other football bubble-dwellers, paid handsomely to jet around the world to talk football with Murphs and Ferds and Carra and Macca; then onto the training ground to play football and talk football to awestruck LFC youths, and it's all nice and bubbly in the football bubble.

Coming from humble stock in the one English city that really knows about anti Catholic, anti Irish sentiment, he will surely know the Huns are the Proddy Dogs and Celtic are the Cathy Cats :ffs: , but beyond that, Stevie G will be no more clued up about the reality of the Sevco Huns in 2018 than any of his equally out of touch, English, football bubble, media waffle-hound buddies. He's talking to the huns because the profile of the job strokes his ego; that being a Premiership leg-end will mean he could stroll up and boss it. There's no grand scheme here, no Machiavellian plotting: it's just another daft idea by a desperate bunch of hun chancers.

I saw it posted a few days ago on here and think it could be a goer, don't be surprised if the chip wrappers spend the summer reminding their readership of Felix Magath's stellar playing career, twice winning the double as Bayern Manager and taking Wolfsburg to the Champions League at Bundasliga champions.

If you ignore the bat shampoo crazy stuff he has pulled throughout his career, which I'm sure our esteemed fourth estate will, the hordes will be going for 55 before you can say "knocked out of Europa league by mid table Cypriot side".

Des Kelly was on Talksport this morning talking to Alan Brazil about the Liverpool game and then moved on to SG. Did anyone hear it?

A few interesting comments i thought, AB pushed him after Kelly spouted the "Positive Talks have taken place and will continue over next few days" line and he said similar to Roy Hodgson message.

Kelly said that they had chatted last night and that SG is still waiting on answers to a few things including the usual "Whats his budget" but the next 2 peaked my interest as it seemed that SG or his people are asking the right questions. Who owns the Club? Who owns the stadium?

If SG is asking these questions and is still considering it then he is thicker than i though.

Very, very dangerous for Park et al to leave, given the resolutions granting the board the ability to issue new shares could easily see King dilute them to nothing.

Unless their loans for equity have cast iron guarantees.

Very odd. Of the multitude of questions a potential manager might ask, why would ‘who owns the club and stadium’ feature? Why would he GAF?

If Park Snr and Park Jnr also walk away, it strongly suggests a major s***storm is imminent

"Major investment" ? :ponder:

Because you don't get to Gerrard's position without having some smart people associated with you.

He'll have managers and agents who'll want answers to hard questions before they let their boy take a gamble like this.
