The Record has pro Glib and anti Glib articles this morning. Jackson full on anti. In his obituary for plotless potless Paul Murray amongst all the gushing tripe he has this particular beauty

"Eventually King, Douglas Park, John Gilligan and the Three Bears did come late to join him in this cause, once the damage had been done and another regime – Mike Ashley’s this time – had brought Rangers to the point of teetering on the brink. Typically, King claimed the victory with a bullish litany of brash statements about how his cash won the day as he walked over the threshold with Murray and Gilligan."

Ashley had Sevco teetering on the brink? On the brink of breakeven and being owned by a real billionaire. Great work Potless. Delivered into the hands of a crook. We salute you.

The Huns sense of entitlement makes them think that someone should just hand over money to their club. Like the previous incarnation they overlook small things like playing by the rules.
The fantasy that they are getting £50 million investment has them going mad. Gerrard will be able to sign a new team to stop 10. They forget that even if someone did have £50 million to invest who would be daft enough to get involved while King and co could fold sbouldered.
Anyone wanting to invest needs to buy King off, get a Nomad, get agreement from shareholders to dilute their holding, buy the shares to pay off the £20 million soft loans. They are desperate and gullible.

They're related to the side that's currently winning a European Cup semi-final 7-3, if that's any help. They know a fair bit about winning European trophies seeing as how they've won eleven of them and are still well in the hunt for a twelfth.

I don't know where you've got the idea from that there would be an age limit of 20 and under for a Sevco side managed by Gerrard. It's certainly not anywhere in the post you're responding to.
Thirteen years since they won one of them too
You'd have to hope HC is right though
Can you imagine a youth team coach on a mission to give some of their best academy players (most of whom will never make it to the first team) regular game time...the satellite experiment would last 3 months.

Fingers crossed Gerrard takes this job.

This is what annoys me most about the Hun. They can 'FTP', 'we are the people' and 'quintissentially Brithish' all they want but the fact remains they are the bare bones of a once formidable cheat. The constant rolling out of the 'new investment' line is what is sooooo annoying, it's not even just the absolute numbskulls who repeat it ad nauseum, it's supposedly educated folk in the press. Worst offender has to be BFDJ, the fat wink is always in the know about the coming huge investment on the horizon, what he forgets though, is that we turn the world now and the horizon is always going to be out of reach for them.

Anyone know what happened to the clip of devastated huns on Sunday with Sound of silence providing the backdrop. Without doubt it is the most beautiful piece of art I have ever seen. I would will never ever tire of watching it. It,s also about time for an updated laughing Spaniard.

Probably the biggest ‘investor’ the huns new or old ever had was the bank of Scotland.

Pretty unlikely they’ll be the one this time and pretty unlikely anyone will prop them up like BOS did

They’re falling into their same old habits of grasping for any good news items like a baby desperate for a tit. All of a sudden the investments are confirmed and Gerrard “the brand” will help blow Timmy out the water. They’re conveniently ignoring the fact that their brand is toxic and how would any investment discussions have been kept so secret for months given they have more leaks than the produce aisle at Tesco (see what I did there).

Really Chaps, I think the sheer stupidity of this Gerrard malarkey is blinding us into thinking there must be more than meets the eye, rather than seeing it as simply the latest in a string of half-baked schemes by a hopelessly incompetent board of directors who have arsed up every single aspect of their stewardship. And despite his circumspect, down to earth demeanour, Stevie G is still a rich-beyond-his-dreams football man who has lived his entire life in the football bubble; associating with other football bubble-dwellers, paid handsomely to jet around the world to talk football with Murphs and Ferds and Carra and Macca; then onto the training ground to play football and talk football to awestruck LFC youths, and it's all nice and bubbly in the football bubble.

Coming from humble stock in the one English city that really knows about anti Catholic, anti Irish sentiment, he will surely know the Huns are the Proddy Dogs and Celtic are the Cathy Cats :ffs: , but beyond that, Stevie G will be no more clued up about the reality of the Sevco Huns in 2018 than any of his equally out of touch, English, football bubble, media waffle-hound buddies. He's talking to the huns because the profile of the job strokes his ego; that being a Premiership leg-end will mean he could stroll up and boss it. There's no grand scheme here, no Machiavellian plotting: it's just another daft idea by a desperate bunch of hun chancers.

Murray & Gloag, Far East, America, Souness & Kennedy - all being touted as the source of the new investment to fund Stevie G and the Revolution. Not one word anywhere to firm any of it up.

Some Bears thinking former Whisky magnate Billy Walker is about to sink his mullions into the black hole.
Troo bloo Walker is a life-long Rangers fan and recently trousered £90 million for his share of the sale of three distilleries. His co-investors, incidentally, were South African.

But if you were writing a ficticious comedy spoof about a disfunctional football club stuck in the dark ages you couldn't come up with a better name.
Ha! I worked with Billy Walker when he was a Chemist at Organon & again at Beechams in 70's , definitely a Rangers Supporter but a decent guy in those days .
Certainly clever enough not to blow his money on Sevco at 71 yrs old I would have thought - but then you never know !

And here they are in their third CL final in that period, not to mention an EL final as well. And a Super Cup.
Go back two more years and you can add another Super Cup and UEFA Cup win to that. So that's four UEFA trophies, two other finals and another one coming up, all in the living memory of the vast majority of their support.
In my view, a club that doesn't have a winning mentality doesn't get near that level. You may disagree with that if you like but there really aren't many clubs whose fans have watched their club attempting to lift a European trophy six times already this century and are now booking their tickets for a seventh.

Sevilla fans next one will be their 11th this century.

Please let sevco spend money on signing 30-something Charlie Adam for a triumphant return under Steven "Stevie Steve" Stephen G. Gerrardo.

Quote:

Adam, who has only featured in 11 league games for Stoke this season as they battle relegation from the Premier League, admits he wouldn't be averse to a return to Rangers.

"We are in a relegation battle at the moment," he added. "My future will be sorted in the summer, and we will see what happens.

"I am never going to rule it out. It is the club I started at. They say 'never go back' but as a former player, it hurts to see Celtic dominating so much.

"You never know what is around the corner in this game."

There is no chance of sevco raising money of the amount they would need to mount a challenge next season.
Ain't gonna happen. They are teetering on Administration/savage cuts and the cold shoulder button is about to get pressed.
If there was a splurge of investment lined up Murray wouldn't have got the eff outta dodge
The walls are closing in fast on the GASL.

References to his religion seem to be peppered throughout this, but as mentioned before, they've had Catholic players, captains and managers. The days when this was an issue in terms of their recruitment policy, or whether a Catholic would join them, are gone.

I'd expect that for an older generation who grew up during the years when they openly discriminated, it would be a different story in terms of signing for them. Personally, I wouldn't, and I'm not religious. It's just hard wired into me, never mind their fans as a collective are a group I wouldn't wish to be the least bit responsible for making happy.

Younger people kicking off their career with their youth teams, or people who can earn two or three times what they'd earn at St Johnstone or whatever, will take the opportunity provided.

Not that it should matter, but I don't think Gerrard is a Catholic.

Fine post.

I’ve said it before, but Murray did such a number on the Celtic support that a lot of us cannot accept that they arejust shampooe skint amateurs in everything they do.

If it’s looks, swims and quacks like a desperate skint hun, then it probably isn’t going to be a grand masterplan thought up by the greatest minds of our generation.

Since us winning 7IAR on sunday it has been moonbeam after moonbeam with a side of squirrel. From sexy managerial names to middle eastern investment. Jesus feck it's only been 4 days

They get what the deserve, they are pilaged from pillar to post from crooks who are heralded in as heroes and "real ranjurz men" with very little due diligence. I found it funny like most folk outside their surreal little bubble but the sooner this bastard offspring die off the better.
