I'd guess that Gerrard will be getting confirmed this Thursday or Friday after he finishes his commitments to BT and I can't wait to see what exciting and hilarious adventures they go through next.

He will have been promised that there was big money available for transfers, but will have to make do with free transfers, loans and cries to sign real rangers men like McBurnie.

He will have to negotiate 3 or 4 rounds of qualifying in the europa, all unseeded, starting mid July. A practically impossible task and when they get papped out he'll be under fire just as the league is getting under way.

There will be increased media attention from England, which is good for our game as it will hopefully attract higher viewers, but when it starts to go tits up more will see the huns for what they are. I don't see Gerrard leaving quietly like Warburton or Caixinha did and will reveal to all just how much of shambles that club really is.

Either they have stepped aside for new investors or shampoos about to hit the fan
There was a post on here today about the board not wanting Gerrard as the manager and King is making the decision.

Are they just fed up with this now? Since it's their money thats paying the wages...

To lose one director, Mr King maybe regarded as a misfortune; to lose two looks like carelessness.

It is quite fascinating to look at the state Sevco are in, their attitudes & behaviours (which generally make things worse, rather than better). I think "obsessed", is going too far - but they are definitely fascinating for us.

BarcaBhoy's post doesn't ring true for me, I think they could be turned around for far less - but it's them themselves which will stop that from ever happening.

As said above, they can pick up guys who are good enough well within budget - Morelos was a good signing for them & they should target that market, rather than Russell Martin for example.

Look at Hibs & Killie, they've done great this season - from a very poor starting position & it's been well under any Sevco budget.
Where can I read BarcaBhoy's post/blog? Can't see it anywhere... :ponder:

Isn't this good for them? They want King out, no?

Could someone break this down for me?

See if King doesn't have that £11 million, what actually happens to sevco and when's the new deadline?

As I exclusively revealed on Twitter last night, Gerrard has three red-line items:

1. Image Rights. Should Lite manufacture a replica shirt with his name emblazoned on the back, he will demand a significant premium for his image rights.

Brand Gerrard is a superior brand to Brand Lite.

2. Transfer Budget: a minimum of £20m for each year of his three years contract.

3. A veto on Mark Allen’s cheapskate targets.

He wants these assurances in writing. When Mcinnes asked for the same he was fobbed off with a Skype call from King. McInnes walked away after that call. He knew that King was lying through his back teeth.

Rats and sinking ships spring to mind here.

It would be folly for a Director to remain in place when they go into administration as he would then be suspended from holding any future Directorships at anyother company.

On the other hand if he was to desert the sinking ship before the axe falls then he would be Barry Scott free to carry on as you were before.

Agent Gerrard will end up blowing his cover before he's even been inserted, behind enemy lines, with these demands.

From an annual turnover of £30m?

Not sure about the media coverage in England doing us any favours tbh.
They are already tossing off about Stevie coming up here and strolling it.
Not many quotes about Aberdenn,Hibs or Killie ffs it takes them all their time to say Celtic'
it's usually Brendan Rodgers they use as an alias for Celtic. :brickwall:

He might demand it but he'll no' be getting it!

If, as it seems, he's at least actually considering taking the job, you have to wonder just what King has told him is available and how much of it is even remotely true.

The one thing Gerrard is already responsible for through no fault of his own is the increase in the amount of crap talked about them, and he's not even taken the job yet. I didn't even think that was possible.
