I fear they'll find some mug to plug the gap.
It's anyone's guess for how long the huns will continue to throw money at project sevco. SG's appointment and a coupla signings and billy's on board again. We are just way to strong for them. They would need to spend big this window and have the wages to match to have any chance of giving us a challenge. They can improve, but they don't have the sorta cash needed to stand toe-to-toe with Celtic. If we bring in a quality CB and RB , splurging say another £10m in the process then by eff we will pulverise sevco in every match. Those 5 goal hammerings over the last two seasons will look tame. The last remnants of hope of the odd shock result occurring would be incinerated. It would be a total massacre in every match. Win the BetFred Cup before the end of the year after hammering them at Parkhead with them sitting third n the league at least five points behind us.
Nice wee lead up to the New Year game.

What makes you think they won't survive into next year ?
No special information to be honest - just the same as everyone else, I have my own gut feel. My main reasons (well documented by other sharper folk on KDS) would be - * the immediate high burn up rate of season ticket monies. The increase in payroll alone is now substantial * the deferring of the due payment of Close Bros - not illegal but alarm bells will be ringing in any finance area worthy of the name. This for me is a biggie in that any default will be not only financially catastrophic but worst of all for the huns, very public. If car park went = no club deck. Edmiston House, alhough a $hithole, on their patch and taken from them. * some think there will always be a hun mug to prop them up. They may well be right - they have been right up until now. I happen to think that these days are now gone as I think the recent loss of hardy perennials like the Parks and the few others + board members fecking off signals a watershed. When you get real (hun) businessmen like Jim McColl, walking up, taking a look, laughing and walking away, then that cuts a lot more ice in the finance world than any glossy prospectus brochure * they are now so financially strapped and toxic they have no income streams worthy of the name (see Hummel and fans buying Turkish knock-up strips etc) Finally - this is why I don't think they'll make it to the turn of the year (say Feb) - I think they are 2 draws and a loss away from a meltdown and a managerial walkout when the huns turn on them. If this happens allied with a horsing - and Celtic, I mean a real feckin' horsing - you know - what's that number the Chinese consider lucky? - that would tip the whole applecart. I have been wrong before but I really do want them dead now. I'll need to stop now as I'm travelling as a passenger in a car which I hate, typing this with no glasses and my eyes are fecked Cheers . Thought I'd missed some new event !

Folk have been saying this for years though, they seem to do enough to just get by every single time. I hope that fella is right though. Every year they are deeper in debt. They can only survive for as long as someone is prepared to lend them the difference between their cash in and cash out. It’s a horrible dilemma for their lenders. Throw good money after bad? Or write off what they have already lent? Couldn’t have happened to a nicer bunch of guys.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep shagger of the year former Tory minister, whose career ended in ignominy? Just shows you the depth of anti Irish / anti Catholic feeling throughout this country. F*ckwit. P S Was he wearing his Arsenal tap ?
Chelsea? Of course it was, I forgot that he’s just the sort of ar*ehole who’d support Chelsea. He disgraced himself in a Chelsea top long before they were financially doped with Abramovic's cash.
TBH I don't know if that makes him more or less of an arsehole than the more recent glory hunters who jumped on board when they were the biggest spenders in the football world.

What happened to the "world class breakfasts"? "But the kitchen facilities are also being improved in what’s described as a bid to “crank up” the meals on offer to players and staff". Could he be going down the PLG route and getting rid of all the crap that I normally eaten in the west of Scotland and introducing a more balance healthy eating regime? HOME IMPROVEMENT Rangers manager Steven Gerrard and No2 Gary McAllister want major revamp at Hummel Training CentreThe pair made a hush-hush visit to the club's training base - renamed this week - last month and have identified areas where they want to see key improvements Spoiler: click to toggle Exclusive By Kenny MacDonald RANGERS’ new management team Steven Gerrard and Gary McAllister have demanded a ‘Wow’ factor at their training ground — and ordered a summer spruce-up. Gerrard and McAllister made a hush-hush visit to Gers’ Milngavie training HQ before going on holiday last month. SunSport understands they want the complex completely revamped so prospective signings will be bowled over by the training facilities on offer. The changes will be mostly cosmetic to replace what are viewed as “tired” surroundings. But the kitchen facilities are also being improved in what’s described as a bid to “crank up” the meals on offer to players and staff. Gerrard wants a system where players can request specific diet-related items rather than adhere to a menu. The pair also plan to rent accommodation close to the training ground so they are based at the club full-time rather than returning to their respective homes in Merseyside and Yorkshire. Gerrard and McAllister — along with new first-team coach Michael Beale, technical coach Tom Culshaw and head of performance Jordan Milsom — will lead Rangers to a ten-day Spanish training camp on Sunday. Gers confirmed this week that the base at Auchenhowie has been renamed The Hummel Training Centre. In April it was confirmed that Hummel would be Gers’ kit supplier for the next three seasons and the partnership with the brand has now extended to the naming rights of the 38-acre training centre, which was opened in 2001 at a cost of £14million. Rangers’ managing director Stewart Robertson said: “We are pleased to make today’s announcement regarding the naming of our training facility. “We are committed to working closely with all our partners and sponsors as we enter a new chapter for the club under Steven Gerrard. “We are looking forward to growing the relationship between our club, our fans and Hummel.” Meanwhile, Kris Boyd has tipped Gerrard to get the best out of Josh Windass. He said: “I think we saw glimpses of what Josh can do but with better players around him he can go to another level. “The thing he has to do is make sure he does it on a consistent basis. “When you see his performances, I have a belief he can reach the top. He is starting to mature as well. “He was a young boy when he came up here and got involved in things he probably shouldn’t have but we have all been there.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2792681/rangers-steven-gerrard-gary-mcallister-training/
Why was it “hush hush”? Don’t they work there? And it wasn't even hush hush. It was in the paper FFS.

Have ye seen a handsome Hum? I have one of those phones with "ask Siri". The only things I've come up with are...."have you seen a handsome hun" which throws up lots of singing videos. And the old "is there a moose loose aboot this hoose"
soooo off topic, but there you are. Lack of proper Celtic chat fever

Gerrard talks a good game. I suspect there isn't a lot of substance behind the talk though. Tbf to Gerrard he does think he can make a difference
And no matter first result he will think that is case
And with garymac they are so entitled that’ll be case
We should remember that there may not be an immediate implosion and John Barnes started well but they have no substance
I was worried that BR was getting bored with domestic and wouldn’t learn for recruitment or Europe
With rogic Eddie signed looks like we are focussed
Pl didn’t get Liverpool so he’s here and BR motivated with nowhere great to go to till he delivers in europe
so defence gets sorted and if dembele can be persuaded it is same for him
Then never mind let’s go
It’s onward and upwards
