What a journey it has been. An unmitigated feckin mystery tour.

Ahead of the curve? Complete and utter BS with a poo on top.

GIRFUT. The whole club and their rancid, vile fans don’t deserve this, they deserve much much worse. Appoint a rookie manager and they will fall into the chasm never to return. Carrots.
i see your still a sittin on the fence type of guy Tony......hope you are well mate

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Did you think McInnes would take it? I didnt. I don't think Gerrard will either.
I don't think I did, but McInnes is already a manager at a decent sized club, second in the league for a couple of years and reached a few finals winning a Scottish Cup.

Gerrard has no managerial CV outside of taking kids to play in empty stadiums.
Gerrard has a megagalactic size ego, if King plays to it, and it seems he is , it wouldn't surprise me that he'd be their next interim manager.

I wouldn’t e surprised if he takes it based on bt sports and it will be a disaster. Although he won’t get what he’s promised he will get way more than they can afford. They will go all in on an under 18 coach up against a vastly superior team who even if sevco spend way more than they can afford can spend more without it making a dent in cash flow

Isn’t Gerrard a bit thick as well? Always comes across as a bit dense.

It's hard to believe that any club could make such a monumental arse of everything.
You'd think that just by chance they would manage to do something right but their failure rate is close to perfect.

Perfect storm of the utterly incompetent villains fleecing the indoctrinated idiots resulting in a state of continual ridicule.

Can see Gerrard ending up as assistant to Klopp and tell rangers to feck off
He wouldn’t be on TV openly discussing timeframes for talks unless he was pretty certain he was the only candidate and the deal was all but done. Only thing I can see stopping this now would be for him to make demands which can’t be met - and I’m sure they’ll just lie to him anyway and tell him what he wants to hear.

up on the roof!!

It's yet further evidence that they have no plan

Five months ago they tried to recruit a manager who has significant relevant managerial experience.... exactly what is needed

Having been knocked back by McInnes they should have continued on that road...loads of candidates.... Tommy Wright for one

Now that idea has been cast to the wind and they're all in on the appointment of a guy who has no experience at all and who knows nothing about Scottish football....absolutely mental...long may they continue in this fashion

It'll sell some jerseys though!

I don't really have a clue what they're thinking there and can't for the life of me see what he's thinking of in considering it.

There is however a very high chance that this will end up being very amusing for everyone else so rock on

They were advertising what football was on BT this weekend along with the other games, Gary Lineker mentioned Partcik Thistle Vs Ross County (Friday) and Hearts vs Celtic (Sunday) and said the SG "You'll be watching those" and SG said "off course".

It looks like he will get his insight into Scottish football from watching BT and listening to Chris Sutton.

What could go wrong?

Exactly

You'd have thought that putting all their eggs in one basket, and doing so very publicly, when they lost out on mcinnes that they would learn some lessons ..... apparently not...

Firing interim manager,, publicly courting Gerard, If he knock them back I think I will piss myself laughing... again.

He was put on the spot by Lineker, and his response was ambivalent.

I feel that IF his personal demands are met, and he can be guaranteed a sizeable transfer budget, he'll go for it. ( He cant say that publicly of course )

But it's not there yet, and Thursday will see whether sevco have unearthed a batty billionaire with deep pockets and eff all sense, or just how politely Gerrard can turn down

a "wonderful first real manager job." to paraphrase Lineker.

I doubt he was put on the spot. Lineker would have told him before going on-air he’d ask about it. Gerrard’s answer was highly rehearsed.
