It's worth checking some of the mistakes he made throughout his career, for a laugh. Average keeper throughout, probably brought in "because he knows what it means".
Gerro on McGregor, "We have made a decent start in improving the goalkeeping area by bring in Allan McGregor. He is a goalkeeping legend here who knows the club inside and out and he is a positive signing. He is someone who is up for it". STEADY THE SHIP Rangers boss Steven Gerrard says he needed to get Gers house in order before adding the likes of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic
The Gers boss has revealed he wanted to steady the ship by bringing in his backroom staff before adding any new players to the club Spoiler: click to toggle By Alan Potts STEVEN GERRARD says one of his first tasks as Rangers boss was to get the Gers house in order. The Ibrox boss has revealed he wanted to steady the ship before bringing any new players to the club. Gerrard appointed his former Liverpool team-mate Gary McAllister as no.2 and feels the team he’s assembled around him will stand the club in good stead. He told Rangers TV: “I have got a group of staff and between us we will come to the decisions that are right for the club. “When I came in here it was about sorting our house out. That means the training ground and make sure everything is right in there. “Then we have to build team spirit and make them bond and make them together, hopefully that can stand us in good stead when the games come around. “The board were very supportive that I had my people I was comfortable with but can also improve the players. They are all experts in their own way. “They didn’t have to think about it when I asked him, but we are all the first team staff, there is no number one, two, three or four. “Trust is important but they know I have their back and they have mine. They are good enough to come to a club like this with the demands and I have every confidence they can deliver. They have known for a long time they are coming and they can’t wait to get started.” Gerrard has made six signings so far and he is confident that each of them will make a vital contribution for the Light Blues. He said: “The recruitment is very important. The relationship between myself Mark Allen and Andy Scoulding is really strong. “We have assessed the squad from afar and now close up. We know the areas we are strong and the areas we need to tweak and improve. We have made a decent start in improving the goalkeeping area by bring in Allan McGregor. He is a goalkeeping legend here who knows the club inside and out and he is a positive signing. He is someone who is up for it. “Scott Arfield was a no brainer on a free contract. He will help in a lot of ways on and off the pitch.” Rangers’ fifth and sixth summer purchases were defenders Nikola Katic and Connor Goldson. And Gerrard says it was a key area that needed addressed for next season. He added: “The other main area was the centre back area. Russell Martin went back to Norwich, Bruno Alves is at a World Cup, while David Bates has left. “That was an area first and foremost we needed players, but the right players and right profile. It had to be players who were hungry and come in and defend this badge with their lives. “That was the message when we spoke to them about coming here. It isn’t enough to come and just play for Rangers. It is about coming here and defending that shirt with your life. “Both Katic and Goldson are up for that challenge. They are different in terms of age and experience. Nikola is inexperienced in terms of numbers of games but in terms of potential and profile he ticked every box. He is looking forward to coming to Spain and getting going. “Connor is ready to go after a frustrating couple of years of being a back-up at Brighton. I see him as a leader and a starter, someone who can take ownership of the defence. He is hungry to get going.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2786258/rangers-steven-gerrard-transfer-connor-goldson-nikola-katic-signings/ Why is he Gerro and not Gerrardy?

Sort his house out, does that mean he's getting rid of the wee gremlin kitman? He wants unity & togetherness, first thing I'd do is kick Bell right out of the Club. Doubt he will, so mutiny by Christmas it is then!

Someone, Andy Devlin?, called him "Gerro" in an article or maybe it's a Liverpudlian thing. Purely to establish it for use in headlines - bit shorter than the fud's name.

He is hungry to get going.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2786258/rangers-steven-gerrard-transfer-connor-goldson-nikola-katic-signings/
Why is he Gerro and not Gerrardy?
I prefer Gu55et Gu55et has potential but it correctly identifies s with the number 5. I prefer Gessard as a permanent reminder of the inability of their PR to differentiate r from s.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep STEADY THE SHIP Rangers boss Steven Gerrard says he needed to get Gers house in order before adding the likes of Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic
First thing I thought was, Dundee. What ever happened to the revered blue fabric ?
It’s not just that fabric that goes bobbly, it’s even worse, it’s that type that catches at the least wee thing, and the static off it gives you an electric shock. How apt

Had my first taste of lunatic hun this season there.
"Yi see when we first play yoos"?
"You mean when youre mob get your first scudding of the season from us?"
"That was last season, living in the past, you lot love that. This season we have a good team"
"How?"
"We've bought well so far, some right good players"
"Have you seen them play?"
"Naw yet, but a just no, this lot are better than the imposters there the noo"
"Same old story, each pre season with you lot, excited about players, you haven't even seen? None of them would get into our team, none"
It's bonkers how easily they get carried away at this time of year.
