But then why have they not done that? Appointing McInnes or Wright I mean? Why go for Gerrard?

I gather there is posters on here who revel in calling other posters Huns who are just trying to look at it objectively.

I have found the whole Gerrard saga so far pretty fascinating, we know he is inexperienced and Hun stenographers are desperately trying to draw comparisons with Souness when he took over. It does come across as polishing a turd.

If it goes the way we all expect it is gonna be nuclear in Govan, another failed attempt, another gamble with another inexperienced manager, another year we get closer to 10.

What I'm saying is surely they aren't this stupid? Gerrard must be aware of their situation cause if this goes tits up it'll affect his reputation somewhat no?

EDIT! I know McInnes knocked them back, so you'd think the alarm bells would be ringing amongst their support that a supposed dyed in the wool Hun knocks it back.
Dempele ya Hun bawbag, did you enjoy the semi final?

:lolhuns: :lolhuns:

In Management terms he has feck all reputation.

The Hummel Training Centre
You just know that will be commonly known as the Hunnel training centre from here on in.

We should start issuing worldwide warnings, so any companies thinking of becoming involved with der hun,
know what affrontment awaits them.

So are we
 boo I see what you have done there.

It just seems like too much of a big risk for it not to work out in some way, not saying they'll push for the league but surely they'll get it right eventually.
 oh wait, you’re serious. :ffs:

Can actually taste the desperation in this post.
It's been a miserable old attempt, it's so awkward I find myself willing him to do better at times.

What I would say about the huns business it seems more polished than it has been in recent years. McGregor on a free is arguably the second best keeper in the league and not to dissimilar for our own signing of Gordon. They've signed a young European CB instead of an over the hill player with no re sale value and an English centre back at a good age that they could sell in the future for potentially a profit. So arguably good business. Not concerned they will catch us but it certainty on paper at least puts them in a better position to compete for second and at least shows one eye pointed some what on the future.
Their signings are a punt this year. Murphy was garbage, McGregor is not an upgrade on their existing goalkeeper, the two centre backs are unknown and the loan players tend to be more miss than hit. Airfield is decent however no idea how he fits into their existing bloated central midfield situation.
They are now also having to try and force their last two permanent managers pile of dross out the door as they are tied into expensive long contracts.
Personally I think this close season feels like the last two except with more of a hangover as each year the debt and liabilities are growing.

As I suggested last night, any resurgence over Govan way will be a concern for the sheep, the hibees and the jambos. Not for us.

I know we're not short of things to laugh about with regards to der Hun, but that trackie top is a joke. It's like something you'd pick up in the lost and found if you forgot your PE kit. Yon material that goes a baubly as soon as it passes a washing machine...which maybe a while in Hunland.

6m is it? I've never known a price to fluctuate so much in such a short space of time. Is he secretly made out of Bitcoins?

So Hummel are giving them approx £3million a year to make the kits and have the naming rights to the training ground? Its crazy that their fans think they're closing the financial gap on us by singing away two things for a fraction of what we get just for a kit deal.

MacGregor is arguably not even the second best keeper in their squad and given his age he has not been signed with an eye to the future

Apologies BigKev normally agree with you but this time I have to disagree.

What you don't appreciate is that what we are up against here is an Institutional machine, a miracle of evolution. Even after repeated false dawns only a madman would fail to share their conviction that its's a beautiful day, the beaches are open and it's safe to go back in the water. It's pointless putting on the gloves and shutting off the engine as we're now dealing with a 25 footer and we're gonna need a bigger boat. :lolhuns:

Albeit with the benefit of hindsight, the Huns haven’t got anything right since the mid 1980s and even that is questionable.

I won’t be holding my breath waiting on them getting it right again.

Favourite new Hun soundbite that I've seen a few times today is the; "Celtic are spending £9m to stand still" line.

Don't even know where you begin with that. Only a Hun could come up with such a gem.
