I'm not saying it isn't going to happen, but the Goldson transfer is taking a very, very long time to complete. He is probably having some sort of special medical due to his history but still, from initial rumour to completion, its been weeks.

Bit annoying that they are signing players that they can potentially develop and sell on. I was hoping they would give that diddy Skrtle a 3 year deal on big money.
You mean like Cardoso, Morelos, Travernier & Bates.

How did that work out for them?

Their scouting system has been up and running for a year now(so long wee Stevie :Bye:) and their signings have been muck. I wouldn't expect that to change anytime soon.

The new Croatian signing is a very shrewd one...he can use Krancjar’s kit from last season..no need to change initials...cash saved ;)

Sevco 5088 and Sevco Scotland Limited. What is the significance of 'sevco'? What is it an abbreviation of?

I realise I'm about 6 years late with this btw
I think it was just the off the shelf name Green got when he acquired a shell company around the time it looked like the Old Huns wouldn’t get a CVA. Think it just stuck from there? Don’t think it’s an acronym for anything or has any particular significance.
IIRC Sevco5088 was the original name, however Green "allegedly" transferred the company to Sevco Scotland illegally.

Remember Whyte released tapes of recorded messages of him speaking to Green and Green telling him "you are Sevco"

I think Whytes companies have been trying to make claims against Sevco due to this illegal transfer?

Am I way off here or is this about right?

What are they going to call their training centre ?
RANGERS are set to rename their Auchenhowie base after striking a deal with kit manufacturer Hummel.

The state-of-the-art facility was named after Sir David Murray when it was opened in 2001 and has officially been referred to as the Rangers Training Centre in recent years.

In April, Rangers announced they had clinched a three-year link-up with Hummel to supply kit and training wear.

It is understood the Danish firm have a naming rights agreement for the training ground and further details over the rebrand are expected to be confirmed soon.

Sevco 5088 was an "off the shelf company" Lawyers create and register them at companies house so if anyone needs a company to carry out a business deal you just buy it and add your name as the director.

Green's scam, was at the last minute he "persuaded" Duff and Phelps to transfer the assets not to Sevco 5088, which Craig Whyte had an interest in, but to another off the shelf company Sevco Scotland which Green totally controlled.

That's the fraud they were all originally charged with, but the case fell apart thanks to the police carrying out an "illegal search."

Maybe the Croatian lad has been signed instead of Goldson?

Should it not have been Green up in court on fraud charges then?

I assumed the recent case was do to with the Ticketus fraud, which Whyte carried out?

Sorry, if I'm well wrong.

I didn't really understand the whole fraud aspect during the court case, I sort of lost sight of what it was about and just laughed at it all playing out in court.

"Katic, who joins from Slaven Belupo, is believed to have cost Gers (sic) in the region of £2million."

The Scottish Sun
Amazing they can afford this given their £10m splurge last season.

The same £10m splurge that didn't appear anywhere in any accounts.
Much did they spend?
I think their accounts said they made a small profit from player sales.
