"Katic, who joins from Slaven Belupo, is believed to have cost Gers (sic) in the region of £2million."

The Scottish Sun
STV news reported it as £2million and Goldson signing shortly for £3million.

£5 million pound in transfer fees for two players, McGregor Arfield also signed, pitch relayed and maintenance work carried on the parts of the ground (well a spot of paint) and not a question asked where are they getting the money from considering they were relying on loans from directors last season to keep going.

They’ve just sold shed loads of season tickets

They’ll have some cash to splash for a wee while

Their problem is making it last a season like most other folk do

Right now - money in the bank -it might evaporate like snow at Sellafield but at the moment they’ll make a few down payments

Think so

The money won’t last long

But they’ll have some to spend for a wee bit

Season book money has just come in and they've spunked a fair whack of it already (if the fees are to be believed, I have my doubts it's that much) . They're throwing all of their rotten eggs in one basket. The midseason director loan extravaganza will come in, folk will most likely be resigned and a whole host of dirty tricks will be played.

Although they seem to think (well, to the extent their primitive minds allow) that we and others say they are skint as a jibe, it is there in black and white for the world to set. If you spend more than you make, you're potless till your next payday - if it comes. If you do not reign it in the following month, you're potless again. Difference is, their only (meaningful) payday is at season ticket time - hence all of the '#Let's Go!' pish.

As has been said already many times, if they do not win the league this year, the new club will be in the plot with the old club.

Amazing they can afford this given their £10m splurge last season.

The same £10m splurge that didn't appear anywhere in any accounts.

There is an Atlantic Storm warning out for High Winds late tomorrow and Thursday, and here's the kicker if it deepens a bit it'll be given a name and the next name on the list is ,,,,, Roll of the drums ,,,,,

Hector !

How tight are the roof connectors at Castle Greyskull, that would be the coup de grass of the Banter Years !

I thought it would have been Hummel as they're sponsoring naming rights for Murray Park/Auchenhowie - and that's along with the Ge55ard Whirlwind coming in tomorrow ! :suspect:

Market value of £855k and they pay a transfer fee of £2.43 million, I do hope they have been ripped off.

Bit annoying that they are signing players that they can potentially develop and sell on. I was hoping they would give that diddy Skrtle a 3 year deal on big money.

"Gessard whirlwind"

Let us not look unkindly on them, though they gorge on the well composted fruits of summer, they will face the day of judgement on the first Tuesday of europa. If Gessard ever turns up.

Sevco 5088 and Sevco Scotland Limited. What is the significance of 'sevco'? What is it an abbreviation of?

I realise I'm about 6 years late with this btw

Ahh good to see the old pre season optimism is back for them. Hype up an average manager, give him a catchphrase, sell increased season tickets to the gullible bastards, spend half the cash on pish but inflate the prices to the press, pocket the rest , get pumped off of us, resign the manager and repeat

I think it was just the off the shelf name Green got when he acquired a shell company around the time it looked like the Old Huns wouldn’t get a CVA. Think it just stuck from there? Don’t think it’s an acronym for anything or has any particular significance.
