I'm don't know what I'd expect him to do, but I know what I would do, job or no job.
The guy was hung out to dry by the huns so he should get as much money out of them as possible. If he walks away without a pay off they would be rubbing their hands in delight.
How is he going to get a payout if he's just taken his old job back?

Durty Murty back to his academy gig at Der Stench
What an idiot. The football equivalent of eating kangaroo arseholes in the jungle.
To be fair he probably thinks he'll get another shot at it the caretaker job in November and he's probably right.

That's my point. If he walked away then he would be out of a job without any pay off. This way at least he keeps getting paid by them until he finds another club that will take him on.

See the Cardigan is suing someone to recover money lost in a pension while he was with Everton. Wonder why he needs that money now? :suspect:

Oh no, I don't wonder. It's because he didn't pay his tax.
Interesting that the company that Walter wanted money back from has been liquidated
So he’s expecting the people who owned the company to pay.
Surely he knows by now how liquidation works?

That's my point too. They tipped a bucket of shiite over him in public. Now he's gone back to wear it on his head.

Exactly. He's probably made a decent enough living out of the game in his playing days, but I doubt if he's in the "made for life" category. The guy needs to make a living and I doubt if there are many other clubs falling over themselves to offer him a gig after he was hung out to dry and scapegoated in the hun media over the last few weeks of the season.

I wonder if those that expressed sympathy for him on here, when he was thrown under the bus by the Hun, still have sympathy for him?

I think the way he was treated was out of order.

I think he's an idiot for continuing to work for them after that.

As for being loaded, he'll be relatively well off compared to the man in the street unless he's wild with his money. I'm sure he'd be able to survive a month or two out of work. If Sevco are prepared to give him a job, I'm pretty sure there are other clubs who would also take him on.

Or he has a contract. He's actually done, by the terms of his contract, nothing they can fire him for. They'd put him on gardening leave, he's had a sniff around, looking for opportunities elsewhere, nothing materialised and now, looking to force him out, they've told him to come back, figuring he'll walk away. Constructive dismissal but he's standing his ground. All speculation, of course.

I am more than happy to see him continue with his mediocre performance whilst taking a wage from Sevco.
