Liverpool academy it is then!

Interesting that Gerrard may have been advised that management isn't for him. I know it's only a small clip, but that footage of him in the changing room - Jimmy Bell weirdness aside - looked extremely uncomfortable. Like he didn't know what a real manager does, so he decided to posture instead. And awkwardly at that...

What should a 'real manager' do when he walks into an almost empty dressing room and finds a sour faced kitman hanging up the strips the day before a game ?

:ponder:

Tell him to eff off?

Look relaxed, talk to the staff of the club on a level - and not down to them or even like you are disturbed by their presence - take a quick look at the dressing room and then move on, rather than stand there like it's some big moment in a movie where a montage of echoed ghost voices from across the decades let you know of the club's history, rip that picture of the queen off the wall.
...while discussing the merits of "always" getting things done on a Friday.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I don't think billy's enthusiasm will last beyond their first pumping of the season at the hands of the Double Treble Champs.
Once they see that nothing's changed, that they remain a footnote in Scottish football, I think the huns will turn away in large numbers.
We’ve been saying for about six seasons that they were a bawhair away from turning their back on Ibrox in great numbers, but they’re too thick, gullible and downright obstinate to give up now. Besides, no matter how many times we put them in their place they’re only ever one 5-0 win at home against Hamilton away from being world beaters again.
They spent 4 of those years dreaming of a triumphant entry to the top flight, but since then they've been pumped senseless umpteen times by Celtic.
This will be year three of living the nightmare and if come their first encounter with the DT Champs they get their arses handed to them on a plate such that they see that they are no further forward I think large numbers of huns will stop going to the bigot dome.

Ur correct. Gerrard is the last throw of the dice for King and Co. If this fails, and it will, then it’s sevco no more.

CQN going after Rod Petrie today. It suggests he was in favour of King's nonsense about Gary Hughes being removed from the SFA Board. We all know what has subsequently transpired.

This is because Hughes was a potential voting obstacle to him getting the SFA Presidency after Macrae's term of office ends.

The wider point being that as Chair of the SFA's Licensing Committee in 2011, Petrie rubber stamped Deadco's Euro licence. Yet he continues to have a role on how this alleged mishandling is currently being dealt with by the SFA, instead of recusing himself, which appears to be a clear breakdown in governance.

I don't know whether CQN thought of that all by himself, or it was left with him by some other sharp suited individual.

I'd say they're a half-decent Hearts side away from deserting in their droves.

Anyone else think Gary Hughes has been subjected to threats from the Great Unwashed?
Yes, absolutely. It’s what they do.
