Anyone else think Gary Hughes has been subjected to threats from the Great Unwashed?
Always possible, but would they even know who he is? I'd never heard of the guy before King's outburst.

My first impression on hearing he is to stand down was that it's a sop to King and the huns; a pre-emptive move by the football authorities before the delivery of a big blow, so they can demonstrate evidence of it's even handedness when dealing with the huns. I know it's the SFA & associates we're talking about, so history doesn't support such action, but maybe...

This guy has been made a patsy to quell King. What Spfl should be doing is telling King to bolt but they are too caught up in the thing of needing a strong Rangers. Lawell will be right into that as well as a perceived strong Rangers makes Celtic more cash. We will keep them at arms length with just enough hope so the gullibles come back every year
I don't think billy's enthusiasm will last beyond their first pumping of the season at the hands of the Double Treble Champs.
Once they see that nothing's changed, that they remain a footnote in Scottish football, I think the huns will turn away in large numbers.
Having signed McGregor, Arfield, Murphy and stating that Tavernier and Windass are staying and now planning to recruit up to five from Liverpool.
You better be afraid Timmy, there's a new team in town.

It must have pissed them off big time that they couldn't find anyone with a Celtic connection to comment about Harry Wilson.

Regarding Ryan Kent there's these gems.

AFTER joining Bristol City, Kent revealed the work he was putting in with Johnson to improve his game.
He said: “He’s trying to unlock that door for me to add more numbers to my game.
“We’re working hard on it in training and different aspects – and adding goals and assists is one of the main areas."

Later in the article,

"And despite being handed a chance to save his season by Bristol City, he flopped again on loan and played just ten times"

We’ve been saying for about six seasons that they were a bawhair away from turning their back on Ibrox in great numbers, but they’re too thick, gullible and downright obstinate to give up now. Besides, no matter how many times we put them in their place they’re only ever one 5-0 win at home against Hamilton away from being world beaters again.

Away for one day and come back only to find Joey Barts Bartsy Barton has given Stevo a ringing endorsement and now Southgate thinks he's going to manage Ingerlund? Not bad considering a baw hasn't even been kicked yet.

Liverpool academy it is then!

Interesting that Gerrard may have been advised that management isn't for him. I know it's only a small clip, but that footage of him in the changing room - Jimmy Bell weirdness aside - looked extremely uncomfortable. Like he didn't know what a real manager does, so he decided to posture instead. And awkwardly at that...

In their 6 year history, they've tried "the former star who had gardening potential" they've tried "the unknown city connected route" they've tried the Foreign exotic sounding, bull fighting, James Bond guy who also liked talking from shrubbery not to shrubbery" they've tried plucking complete unknowns from within with a penchant for standing on their heads and dodging white boards".

Now they find themselves at the Billy Big Name option.

Well nobody can accuse them of doing the same thing and expecting the same result.

What should a 'real manager' do when he walks into an almost empty dressing room and finds a sour faced kitman hanging up the strips the day before a game ?

Wasn’t Gary Hughes one of the let’s move on voices when it came to a judicial review of the SFA’s handling of the EBT/liquidation ?

Yup.

Should have been hounded out sooner.

Look relaxed, talk to the staff of the club on a level - and not down to them or even like you are disturbed by their presence - take a quick look at the dressing room and then move on, rather than stand there like it's some big moment in a movie where a montage of echoed ghost voices from across the decades let you know of the club's history, rip that picture of the queen off the wall.
