What does Bomber have to do before he gets the nod to be caretaker or even caretaker for the caretaker?
Shoazideedz?
Bomber would sign Israeli wonderkid, Shoaz Ideedz?

:tumbleweed:

our favourite blogger John James (still waiting to hear from his lawyer!!) speculated the other day that Brendan had previously offered Gerrard as position as no. 3 here in the summer ...that he had phoned and left him a message after hearing of their interest and was raging that Gerrard has not called him back

make of that what you will ;)

Gerrard criticises rodgers fairly heavily in his book over his tactics in the season he almost won the league, particularly the Chelsea game where Gerrard literally cost Liverpool the title

Does say he rates him as a man manager but was furious at being dropped for several big games too

I don't think there's any chance they'd work together. I don't think they get on at all
The big game he got dropped for was Man U at Anfield. He came at half time and got sent off about 30 seconds later for a vile stamp. Carrot has some nerve to complain about that.

Don’t touch it with a barge pole, son...

The Crystal Palace boss, who coached Gerrard at Liverpool, advised the Reds legend to do his "due diligence" with regard to the vacant managerial post before agreeing to fill it.

https://amp.sportsmole.co.uk/football/rangers/news/roy-hodgson-issues-warning-to-gerrard_324791.html
Serious question, do you think SG will have a chat with Brendan over whether to take it or not?
If he does take the gig then I think it's legitimate to question his integrity given the way Murty's been dealt with.

It's maybe understandable for a journeyman manager who's currently out of work and needs to pay the mortgage or an aspiring unknown trying to build a reputation in the game to feel that they can't be too fussy about taking over at a club where the owners have chucked the previous incumbent under the bus....but someone like Gerrard who is currently employed at a top flight club (albeit as a youth coach) and has a big reputation from his playing days will get plenty of decent offers. So you'd have to ask what it says about his character if (and it remains an if at this point) he takes the Sevco gig.

As for whether he'll seek Rodgers' advice....if he has then the first thing Brendan will have told him is "if you do take the job then don't ever admit that you spoke to me about it, 'cos ra peepul will eat you alive if they find out you sought my advice on anything!"

 Huns in work are falling for it already. Just heard them say they will likely have Ings and Solanke up front next season if Gerrard comes in, and that they will have Markovic and Candeias on the flanks to provide the assists. :ffs:

Now he's gone I actually do feel sorry for him. He was a rabbit in the headlights and never had an ounce of the arrogance Pedro brought to bluff his way along.

Well he did blurt out to the media that his players cheered when they drew us in the cup. That was fairly arrogant.

The really handy thing about Warburton, Pedro and Murty is that none of them really had any intrinsic credibility which stopped the Sevco board spinning the failure as entirely their fault.

The way Gerrard is being discussed now is very different.

There's a genuine opinion that whether he succeeds or not is very much up to their board and the financial support he's given.

That was common knowledge before he mentioned it.

The media were at Ibrox while the draw was made and heard it themselves. He was asked about it and couldn't deny it.

I don't think it was arrogant.

Candid and naive more like.

Oh aye, it was naive to the point of idiocy but I do remember thinking at the time that he was starting to believe his own press.

Wham Gloves is being paid by Sevco to assist Club1872. How awesome is that :chuffed:
No, he's not.

Club1690 are paying the salary of the baboon's arse faced, racialist cartoonist for the privilege of assisting Sevco

Mugs :lolhuns:
I see that there is much debate in Rangers cyberspace as to whether Chris Graham has an office at Ibrox and a sponsored car. Also talk that Craig Houston gets a wage from Ibrox.

No idea if this is true but jaw-dropping if it is.

correct

he apologised to players, manager and fans afterwards

then later he lay the blame at rodgers' door for making him angry by not starting him
