Jimmy Nichol, this will further ease their progression to the 17th Century (Did they ever really emerge).

Anybody who watched Jimmy Nicholl struggle to make his way to the touchline near the end of the semi final will know that he could do with some help to ease his progression.

GRAEME MURTY has this morning been relieved of his duties as manager of Rangers.

Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson will take charge of the team for the three remaining matches of the season.

Rangers are grateful to Graeme, who did not hesitate when asked last October to become interim manager after the departure of Pedro Caixinha and then, at the turn of the year, when he was offered the role as manager until the end of the season.

Graeme has had to contend with difficult and challenging circumstances but conducted himself in a thoroughly professional manner. He will take some time to consider his options, which include returning to his role at the Rangers Academy.

Jimmy Nicholl and Jonatan Johansson have already started preparing the team for the match against Kilmarnock on Saturday and they will be in place for the two remaining fixtures, against Aberdeen and Hibernian.

The club hopes to be in a position to comment further on the managerial situation in the near future.

Any word on whether Walter Smith will continue to advise Nicholl & Johansson the way he did Murty?

The main question is who'll actually be announced as the manager after the season book money is in?

They really don't know what's going on... 3 managers in one season, players getting suspended, getting humped left right and centre. Fans protesting everywhere. All going round in circles. Looking for a mug to take over a manage them. A person in charge who is not fit for purpose with not a pot to p*ss in. It will get a lot worse.
Karma is a bitch but feck them, I don't care about them, anyone who plays for them and anyone who supports them.

3 managers in one season is standard practice over there. Nothing to worry about.

The main question is who'll actually be announced as the manager after the season book money is in?
The fact that Gerrard hasn't already taken it suggests to me he, understandably, had doubts from the get go. In that time, to alleviate his concerns they have;

Publicly humiliated and crucified the man currently in the role

Now relieved that man of his duties while ensuring they publicly offer him his now completely untenable previous role in order to body-swerve their obligation of giving the guy a pay off

24 hour social media blackout - still ongoing up until that statement today if you exclude them retweeting their academy

Suspended their captain and most senior player - the same senior player who was also frozen out under Caixinha. Realize this may have happened before Gerrard emerged on the scene, but it won't have gone unnoticed

Been on the end of a 5-0 scoreline against us in a game that could have easily been double figures if we hadn't taken our foot off the gas

Appointed Jimmy Nicholl in an effort to finish above Aberdeen who will have something to prove, and Hibs, who are easily the second best team in Scotland right now and have a manager who would absolutely revel in knocking them into fourth place.

Add to this Brendan Rodgers has subtly tried to dissuade him not once, but now twice by highlighting their deplorable treatement of Murty.

I'm sure there will be something I've missed as well. It's hard to keep up. What is clear is that someone in Gerrard's position would have to be utterly mental to touch that job with a barge pole on the basis of the last 4 or 5 days alone

What a journey it has been. An unmitigated feckin mystery tour.

Ahead of the curve? Complete and utter BS with a poo on top.

GIRFUT. The whole club and their rancid, vile fans don’t deserve this, they deserve much much worse. Appoint a rookie manager and they will fall into the chasm never to return. Carrots.

He went through all this scheidt with them before, and yet he still returned for more. He knew what he was doing. Eff him ;)
This, all day long and twice on Sunday. he should have told them to bolt after they humiliated him last year, then King undermined him before the SC semi? WTF kind of man keeps taking that from such a shower of sneaky bastard gobshampooe huns? He lay down wi' a flea bitten, mangy mongrel and caught fleas; then went back for more and caught distemper - hell mend 'im!
