Ticket revenue won't be increased . The fixture was a sell out and will still be so money coming in will be similar. The difference now is the 7.5k seats (or how many they eventually sell as STs) will not be on general sale on any give match outside ours. Basically they will get the money upfront . More chance of them spunking it all even quicker i guess.
This is the thing that was confusing me. I was reading Impotent Rage Media for a bit and they were all stroking each other about the idea of the extra mullyins coming in, but doesn't this basically just change the date of money coming in rather than really generate extra money? Outwith our games there, they would still have been selling either those special non-derby season tickets, or regular match tickets. Surely the only different is now their fans will pay £40 for example rather than our visiting fans paying £50?
Yes they will lose walk up sales through the season.

This means they will lose the premium on these given season tickets are cheaper per game. They will also lose the ‘old firm’ rip off / premium from us.

This is about frontloading cash collection at the start of the season but overall receiving less.

If you are looking for signs of a company in distress this type of behaviour isn’t confirmative but it is indicative.

What makes them think that they will sell another 7500 ST's

Why anyone would want to give that 5p never mind £50 is beyond me.
Celtic fans should be nowhere that shampoohole and what it stands for.
The team is more than capable of beating them without a support.
Oh, shut up.

Imagine fans wanting to support their team and being there to get it right up a bunch of scumbags.

A change of heart from a former Liverpool captain?
That would end me completely!!
I'd drown in my obsessed Fenian tears of laughter :lmao:
:lolhuns:
There was something about Gerrard’s body language as he was walking around the changing room.
It was bordering on disinterest. It was as if he was viewing a house that he knew right away wasn’t for him, but
was feigning polite interest, and that was before Jimmy Bell gave him the thousand yard stare of venomous
hunnery.

I don’t think Stevie is feeling the staunchness.

During the years they were winning there was no demand for our allocation to be cut. They probably had more or less same amount of season ticket holders. Capacity is probably larger now as well.
Now when they are rank there is this demand for season tickets and they need to cut allocation, turn it up Dave.
Basically saying stop coming to our gaff and laughing at us.
They banned Celtic fans completely in 1994.
I know that, one of my mates was there undercover. That was ol Minty making a point about us damaging seats, a one off.
My point is that during their good years there was no clamour to reduce our allocation. At a time when their stadium was smaller and they probably had a similar amount of season tickets.

Were they not breaking league rules doing that?

Btw, anyone thinking Gerrard will walk away is dreaming.

Isn’t this just a cash in the door exercise?
Discounting their revenue from us filling the broomloan (paid as and when the games are played) and instead selling season books at avg. £15/game for cash in by end of August.

Rough calculation would suggest they would forgoe £1m min doing this for readies just now.
Talking to a couple of currants this morning - seems like most of that section is already season ticket but is family section and other discounted STs that don't include games against us - so no major boost in revenue or cash up front for them.

According to them the issue is about us getting the full broomloan stand and premium seats behind they goal wheras when they come to ours they are "shunted off to restricted view seats in the corner where you can't even see the support on the telly" :lolhuns:

If ge55ard eventually knocks back sevco, which we all agree would be hilarious he would need a " legitimate" reason, he would not be able to tell the truthful reason.
He would have to come out with something along Kevin keegans resignation from England, jobs too big etc etc . That would hamper his future managerial career and make him the butt of jokes from his fellow English match analysts.
Therefore I think ge55ard will become sevco manager and I'm happy about that.
I honestly cannot really see why he chose to go to sevco though, he's a millionaire, he would work his way through Liverpool teams, eventually go to a championship team and if successful eventually go back to Liverpool.

All sevco managers have had one or more of arrogance, inflated ego or stupidity and I think ge55ard is no different.

Yup - like A Place in the sun when they have a £50k budget, looking for detached, sea view, three bedrooms and they get shown a cattleshed

In that we wave the ROI green white and orange flag maybe we should consider an orange strip with green and white trim.
