Has Hibs maybe pissed them off a wee bit by reducing their allocation for the last game between these two?
Will the SFA let them get away with this madness?
or Are they just aff their heads?(SFA or Der Hun make your own mind up.)

Ticket revenue won't be increased . The fixture was a sell out and will still be so money coming in will be similar. The difference now is the 7.5k seats (or how many they eventually sell as STs) will not be on general sale on any give match outside ours. Basically they will get the money upfront . More chance of them spunking it all even quicker i guess.

Dear Supporters,
Once again the SFA, SPFL and Police have conspired to attack our 140 year old club by denying this great institution a safety certificate. We thank all the fans for taking up the season ticket allocation in the Broomloan stand but unfortunately this will now not include games against THEM.
You can apply for a refund for these two games or you can donate it to our warchest so Mr Gerrard can stop the 10.

The problem for a team like Hibs is that they need to keep it up. A bit like the Scumbos. It's fine cutting an allocation to Celtic or Sevco, however when you revert to the mean and your team starts playing gash again, as Hearts have, then you go back cap in hand with all the tickets again. It's short term thinking.

Aberdeen cut our allocation three or four years ago and I think they've sold out Pittodrie twice in that time.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
I think you're looking at it from the wrong perspective. I guess it's easier to police 42k raging sevconians than 49k
Logic surely suggest that not only is it easier to police a smaller away support that has been reduced to a tenth of its previous size, but that the policing bill that comes with it is also likely to be a lot smaller.
I guess that would be true under normal circumstances, but they're not normal. No event in the world is easier to police with 7k extra rangers fans ready and willing to riot win, lose or tv breaking

This is the thing that was confusing me. I was reading Impotent Rage Media for a bit and they were all stroking each other about the idea of the extra mullyins coming in, but doesn't this basically just change the date of money coming in rather than really generate extra money? Outwith our games there, they would still have been selling either those special non-derby season tickets, or regular match tickets. Surely the only different is now their fans will pay £40 for example rather than our visiting fans paying £50?

Isn’t this just a cash in the door exercise?
Discounting their revenue from us filling the broomloan (paid as and when the games are played) and instead selling season books at avg. £15/game for cash in by end of August.

Rough calculation would suggest they would forgoe £1m min doing this for readies just now.

You are Jabba and I claim my £5 spotters fee 😊
With a few minor changes that could well be a future statement.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of season tickets, whatever happened to that dewy-eyed old hun Gordon (?) that used to cycle everywhere, knew that his neighbours were staunch because their gardens were well kept and who would sell his bike / one of his children just to buy a season ticket ?

If only there was a hun wordsmith to tell us Gordon's thoughts on all this . . . .

Why anyone would want to give that 5p never mind £50 is beyond me.
Celtic fans should be nowhere that shampoohole and what it stands for.
The team is more than capable of beating them without a support.

Not sure they lose any money . The St price will reflect the £50 a ticket for games against us like they always have?

The other aspect of the ticket allocation is that, due to the size of the cordon running the length of both tiers of the Lisbon Lions stand at CP, there's a hell of a lot of unsold seats for these games.

Official attendances at games v Sevco barely reach 58,000 due to segregation, meaning almost 2500 unsold seats. You'd imagine with a much smaller, one tier cordon somewhere in section 119, we'll be able to sell at least 1500 more tickets than we normally can for those games, and to our own fans to boot.

Segregation at Ibrox will actually have to be increased because they'll now have to have a cordon on both sides of Celtic fans in that pishy wee corner. Less paying punters. :lolhuns:

Add the fact that you'll continue to see Celtic fans on the TV at the Asbestos Arena compared to the fact they'll be out of sight completely and behind a pole when they come to us. It's not been thought through by any of the mugs.

People are free to do what they want with their own money. If Celtic fans didn't go, they'd get huns taking up the slack so they'd still get the same cash.

Haven't been there for years, but turning them over there is a effing great laugh. I've spent £50 on worse days out.

They'll also need to close parts of their upper tiers on the free broomloan and govan stand.

Really don't see any of this coming to fruition. This is just them setting themselves up to play the victim.
