King , St.Atement in response to Hughes issued! Bears call to arms against " bigots" at SFA...... Response from DK
'I can confirm receipt of information, which would appear to be credible and which merits immediate and thorough independent investigation. Mr Hughes should be suspended pending this investigation.
I also believe steps must be taken to ascertain whether any other SFA individuals were aware of what Mr Hughes said about Rangers supporters before he was appointed a non-executive director of the governing body in 2015. It is important to discover if there has been a breach of the SFA’s duties and responsibilities to all clubs.'
Remind me, was Ogilvie suspended pending the EBT investigation?

Spoiler: click to toggle Skint tramps and delusional fantasists
Martin Skrtel’s agent last night insisted the veteran’s move to Ibrox is dead in the water because Rangers are finding it ‘impossible’ to finance.
Slovakian deal maker Karol Csonto has confirmed his client was initially contacted by Steven Gerrard in the days before the Scouser was officially presented as the club’s new boss.
Talks had been ongoing ever since as Gerrard attempted to land his No.1 target but Csonto has now pulled the plug on those discussions ending any prospect of the 33-year-old leaving Fenerbahce for Scotland.
He has revealed Rangers only offered to pay his player a fraction of his £60k-a-week contract in Istanbul - and that, after holding talks with his Turkish counterpart, managing director Stewart Robertson could not get close to matching Fenerbahce’s price tag of around £5m.
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/martin-skrtels-rangers-deal-dead-12584288
That was a savaging by the Record, Has fat Jabba upset someone? This is a curious sentence, it doesn’t make sense with the rest of the article “And he was in no way deterred by Skrtel’s mega-bucks wages of around £3m a year.” Almost as if he hasn’t been informed of the budget he is going to get. Surely he wouldn’t be so stupid/ GASL would be so sleekit.
Take your pick.

If it "shouldnae be about the money" for all these superstars expected to join Sevco, then why do wee keep getting told that serious investment in the team is needed / inbound etc?
I don't believe for a second that Gerrard is being that naive about player's expected wage demands. He just has to ask himself if he was still playing the game and an outfit like Sevco needed him, regardless of who was their manager, how much would he reckon he should be worth? Then divide that in half and it's still more than double what the huns can afford. Somebody's obviously told him something different about Sevco, or he's just been told to ask anyway so that it at least makes the headlines.
I don't think he's thought anything other than "I can't believe a club with a 50,000 seater stadium and the chance to play in Europe have offered me the managerial job". Almost everyone in Scotland's media is treating Gerrard like a God-like figure in football (small country mentality right there) and it's masking the fact he's really not that big a deal. The Huns are banking on this so-called Gerrard brand they've built up and SMSM have helped perpetuate. In my eyes, there is no Gerrard brand. Certainly not as a manager. He has achieved nothing. Even as a player he probably isn't that big globally. Sure, he's big in England - they are the best in the world at upselling/overselling their stars - but he won very little in the grand scheme of things and there are far bigger, better and more succesful players whose "brand" count for very little beyond their playing career. Outside of Merseyside and now Govan, I don't think anyone will give a toss about what he's up to. It's ludicrous to think otherwise. Look at Philip Lahm for instance, he's probably one of the most succesful footballers this century. Far more so than Gerrard. Anyone know what he's up to these days? Anyone care? I'm sure they do in Germany, but now that he's no longer playing he is old news. It's the same with Gerrard. Only in Merseyside and Govan will they care. A more direct comparison is Lampard and Scholes, also far better, more succesful players and with a bigger worldwide brand because of continued CL success i'd imagine; yet their brand counts for eff all. Scholes was offered the Oldham job and Lampard is now being lined up for the Derby job, hardly setting the world alight. Another comparison, closer to home, is Larsson. How many of us tracked KOK's managerial career? I know I didn't and I'm almost in love with the guy. For the Huns to think that the eyes of the world will be on Gerrard and that players will be falling over themselves to play under him is just complete idiocy. He's a no mark manager who can't believe his been handed the keys to the second biggest club in the country. They also happen to be a basket case organisation, but that's another story... THIS.
Take the big name away and the huns have just appointed a guy who was an under 17s coach as their manager. Its a batshampoo crazy move that is going to end in tears, but it's a risk free punt for gerrard.

What exactly are the huns going to do if the SFA laugh this off or ignore them, which is obviously how they should respond?

This 12 year old tumbleweed of a non story and King’s Subsequent 2nd Letter to The Morons: - a Skrtl squirrel? - a ‘need to shift more season tickets’ stunt? - an attempt to preserve King’s position with the fans, in anticipation of more boardroom resignations? - all of the above?

Ours was manager of Liverpool. Sevco's was also a manager of Liverpool - under 18s that is. Who would you want as your manager?

Whilst laughing at the huns make themselves look stupid, it's satisfying to know their attempted dealings are purely a reaction to us.
They aren't planning for anything, there is no grand design for the future. Their whole plan is somehow stopping us winning 10 & everything will be fine. That's it.
Even after dying chasing us, they've learned nothing. Christ, how much have they gone through since 2012 to get to be a skid mark on our underpants?? It’s like pinky and the brain. Instead of take over the world, it’s put the taigs back in their place. Instead of brain, it might actually be jabba. Also, instead of coming up with a new plan for each episode, their plan is just to repeatedly spend over the odds on old has beens. Pretty sure it’ll be cancelled in a year or two.

Looks like Sevco will be signing Ryan Kent on loan from Liverpool. Seemingly he had two disappointing loan spells last season - one in Germany that was terminated early Musonda-style and one at Bristol City. Box office stuff.

"I can confirm receipt of information.."

This information has been in the public domain for 12 years and yet the GASL shamelessly seeks to make hay from it. It was in the Evening Times 12 effin year ago The GASL & Co will have been sitting on this. This was put aside for a rainy day and by eff it's pishin it doon in govan atm.
A side show to distract billy from the fact that there's nae cash for SG

Record running with it already. anything at all Rangers it seems, get it posted/printed. Once again they are running amok during close season. Celtic can't touch them for PR and promises. Poor huns, they just can't transfer it onto the pitch. I'm looking forward to Hamilton at home on the first day of the season in front of a packed Ibrox. Gerrard will be gone by Xmas.
