If Nicholl and Johanssen (sp?) step in and win the next 3 games, will they be given the job permanently? A bit like Lenny with us? It'd certainly be the cheapest option and if they get 3 wins on the bounce it might be enough for the fragile Hun fanbase to cling onto as the dawning of a new era.
Another thing, and this might sound harsh, but if Murty is in no 'mental state' to talk to the press then it really reflects badly on his CV. Professional football is not a forgiving environment and anyone seen to be mentally weak is unlikely to go very far. I understand that there is pressure, but ultimately it's a game and even just taking a second to step back, acknowledge that and say "right, nobody's dead" it shouldn't be much of an ask to then talk to the press.
Alternatively, send out an assistant to speak for you. It just makes him look absolutely amateur. I get he's probably the loneliest guy on the planet during the game on Sunday, Huns fans, players and board all blaming him and hanging him out to dry, but, if that's the case come out and defend your corner and call out the arseholes who have put you in that position. His "health" might assist his claim.

Murty has actually been exceptionally badly treated.
He is a youth coach.
They knew that.
He steps up. Not once twice. They asked him to do that. They appointed him.
King or Sevco undermining him before important matches.
The players acting the goat.
Announcements of their intention to appoint someone else.
Murty's case seems, from the outside, OK. Case for what?

Right decision to regain some self respect. He should really consider a constructive dismissal case because even for that mob the way he's been treated is a disgrace.
A basket case of a club. Was one of Murray's moonbeams to have a retractable roof? They could just cover it in a giant pair of underpants and stick a couple of pencils up its marble staircase. It's a great image! God speed, Graeme.

Where did you pick up on that 'mental state' stuff. Was that reported? I'd assumed he'd been ordered not to interview, by the one fluent in Huttese. He was told not to speak to the media. All that mental state hoo haa is fabricated bollocks.

10 years ago this evening, I endured the misery of watching the Huns beat Fiorentina on pens in the UEFA semi in O'Henry's.
If you'd told me then how events would be unfolding today, I'd have passed out like Doc Brown in Back to the Future 2. I never thought they were going to win it. Even when they went to the final, I was sure they would come up short in the end.

Whilst normally I would rejoice at any fallen hun manager, Murty wasn't their manager, he's their U-20s coach who has not once but twice taken over from more experienced / laughable characters in Warburton and Pedro - the treatment he has received from both the Rangers board and the fans is absolutely fecking disgusting considering how much worse they were before he took charge.
They have an utter shower of a playing squad that brought this upon themselves and have seen off 3 managers without accepting an ounce of the blame, they're a gutless, spineless shower of growling face arseholes that can't back up what they say off the park with performances on it. Long may it continue.

He most likely has a silence clause slapped on him. If so, it's probably best to swerve the media, as oppose to telling them lies that all is rosy at Sevco.

Don’t normally feel sorry for anyone that takes the hun pound but Murty was treated appallingly by King and the board. Completely hung out to dry. He should at least be offered his old job back with the youths FFS.

Roy Hodgson's advice to Gerrard was "do your due diligence". Not often you hear that said publicly when a manager is offered a job. Shower of shady bastards that they are.
Think he will take it but it would absolutely end me if he knocked them back after all this.
That, swiftly followed by Murty stomping on their plums when they're down, would be amusing indeed.
Can't say I have much sympathy for Murty, cos he's a hun manager and knew who he was getting into bed with. That said, the way they have treated the guy is effing deplorable and it would be nice if he did get a chance to shaft them somehow. he seems like a thoroughly decent guy who up until our 10 man win at ibrox they were quite prepared to have continue
the dignified way they have treated him speaks volumes for their board, their pr guru and their support

It'll be interesting to see where Murty ends up.
Now he's gone I actually do feel sorry for him. He was a rabbit in the headlights and never had an ounce of the arrogance Pedro brought to bluff his way along.
Would it be a big issue if we offered him an academy job like we did with Stevie Frail?
