Same as you loan a lawn mower to a neighbour. His is broken and can't afford to buy a new one.

From TSFM.

A supposed Sky Sports article claiming Gerrard might be loaned to Sevco.

https://www.sfm.scot/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/loan.jpg

That's a new one and quite an inventive way of trying to resolve fund issues. (If true).

Edit, to add

So the Sky Sports/ Andy Dunn feature is actually genuine as it's on their web site.

https://www.sfm.scot/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/loan.jpg

And as John Clarke (TSFM, poster) muses, are there any regulations about that? (What would happen if Sevco meet Liverpool in the semi final of UEFA Cup?) I
This is a bit misleading. The quote is taken from Andy Dunn, a journalist who was on Sky Sports' Sunday Supplement programme at the weekend. He's the type of insufferable English football writer who can't see past the Premier League and can't talk well about anything outside it. The entire football world exists for England. One of those types.

His premise was that Gerrard is currently a Liverpool employee, and if he shows any serious mettle in his managerial career he will surely manage Liverpool given his links to the club, any managerial period at Sevco would amount to a "loan" to see if he could hack it.

I like a laugh at the Zombies situation as much as the next man, but this is exactly the type of myopic, arrogant tosh for which English hacks are famous.

There's no doubt that Gerrard would jump from pretty much any job to go and manage Liverpool if asked, but I've no idea why anyone would refer to it as a loan. A loan implies his contract would be retained by Liverpool, which is just absurd, even for that lot.

It's a throwaway quote by an absolute rocket of a journalist.

Seemingly Graeme Murty is to replace Murty as interim manager.

Those gullible effers seem to think this fictitious warchest will get them on a par with us. They seem to forget we already have an excellent squad and a real "warchest"if required.

Just as well they never had the Huns' manager of the year award next week - there'd be a right quandary if the new guy wins the next few games.

What's jonaton Johansen doing in the directors box?
He not the right hqnd man of murtsy?
Game management Declan, always views the 1st half from the stand so he can tell Murty just how shampooe they really are.
Just surmising that,if Phil was correct in his blog last night and(lots of ands, ifs, buts here) Murty was indeed banished from the dressing room before KO and at HT,to allow Bomber or Nichol to deliver team talks, then maybe there was no obvious need for him to be there either.
Is Phils info on this one correct though?

I know we shouldn’t be surprised at anything this mob do but I’m finding it really hard to understand that Murty walked up that tunnel at halftime, hung around outside then went back out for the 2nd half not knowing what the game plan was. It’s utterly bizarre and I just can’t get my head round it. Regards JJ, he genuinely does sit in the stand for the 1st half of their games. Probably on Smiths advice, he used to do it all the time.

Roy Hodgson's advice to Gerrard was "do your due diligence". Not often you hear that said publicly when a manager is offered a job. Shower of shady bastards that they are.

Think he will take it but it would absolutely end me if he knocked them back after all this.
That, swiftly followed by Murty stomping on their plums when they're down, would be amusing indeed.
Can't say I have much sympathy for Murty, cos he's a hun manager and knew who he was getting into bed with. That said, the way they have treated the guy is effing deplorable and it would be nice if he did get a chance to shaft them somehow.
Aye, he knew what kind of people he was dealing with so sympathy is zero.

Why he'd put himself through that though, and as recently as last week say he wanted the gig full time, is beyond me. Everybody needs a job but he'll have been doing okay relatively speaking as a coach and there would have been other coaching opportunities available, maybe a move into management at a lower profile. Cathro was chewed up and spat out at Hearts, so there's recent evidence from over the road that the leap from being a decent coach straight into the hot seat at a 'big' club can be difficult.

Hearts obviously had their own internal situation, caused by one man by the looks of it, while sevco have redefined internal strife.

If he waits until he's whacked then I think he'll have a harder task even getting a coaching gig, so he can continue to be pished on from a great height or leave a scheidt in a drawer.

Back to Gerrard, I watched a bit of the Glasgow Cup last night. They're just boys. Under-18s is really not a place to make a leap from. He'd have been better off, possibly, going straight from being a player into a second or third division side.

Would any of us be happy if John Kennedy or Kolo Toure became our next manager, never mind Michael O'Halloran or George McCluskey? And if it's all about reputation as a player, go no further than Bryan Robson or Roy Keane to see how far that takes you.

Gerrard could turn out to be a great manager for someone and he's probably thinking he'll never know until he tries. But we've seen experienced coaches wilting under the pressure in Scotland, even when relatively successful.

It's not an easy environment and Gerrard should maybe look at Ronny Deila never mind any hun managers, a league winner in Norway and a double winner here, to realise the magnitude of his task.
