“I'd like to pass on my thanks to the following players for their service to Sevco and wish them all the best for their future careers - wherever that may be
Andy Halliday Jason Holt Kenny Miller David Bates Sean Goss Lee Hodson Lee Wallace Joe Dodoo Michael O Halloran Russell Martin Jak Alnwick Eduardo Herrera Fabio Cardoso Dalcio
And possibly Alfredo Morelos Wes Foderingham Josh Windass James Tavernier Jason Cummings Bruno Alves
Even though it never worked out for the majority of you, I wish you all the best. And that also goes for Jimmy Nicholl and JJ as well.”
6 million would replace all them no worries

Apparently they've been through 60 players in 3 years. Even with a 'sustainable' finance in place that would sink most outfits.
As far behind us as they've ever been.

Gerrard going all Chares Green.
NEW DAWN New Rangers boss Steven Gerrard warns Celtic their days of ‘easy’ Premiership title wins are over The Anfield legend watched the Ibrox side's thrilling 5-5 draw with Hibs at a Liverpool function in Dubai and can't wait to get started in his new job next month
Spoiler: click to toggle By Mark Walker STEVEN GERRARD saw Celtic lift the Premiership trophy then warned them their days of easy title wins are over. The new Rangers boss also watched the incredible 5-5 draw at Easter Road in Dubai, where he was attending his final Liverpool club function before he officially takes charge at Ibrox on Gerrard said: “Celtic have had it their own way for far too long. “This is a massive opportunity for myself and Gary McAllister to go to a huge football club and try to improve things in Glasgow. “We go up and we will give it our best. Liverpool have been fantastic because they actually came to me and said that Rangers would like to speak to me. “I asked them what they thought and they have since given me every bit of support that I needed to go and take the challenge on. I go with Liverpool’s blessings.” Gerrard will travel to Kiev for the Champions League Final as part of his TV duties before taking the Ibrox job. And he pointed out, in a beach hotel Question and Answer session, that Rangers’ support is set to significantly increase. He said: “Every fan I have bumped into since the news broke are now Rangers fans too so that’s been a huge boost for me. “I have had so many good luck wishes and messages and it has been really great for me.” And Gerrard has told Rangers fans he wants to play the game in the same swashbuckling style as his mentor Jurgen Klopp. Gerrard added: “I think every fan in the world loves watching that. “He’s been absolutely massive for the club. You don’t want someone to pretend or bat back any question. He answers every single question with honesty and truth. “It’s one of his values that I hope to take.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2637380/rangers-steven-gerrard-celtic-easy-titles/

My hun mates are outraged at Lenny - classless, ned, not right in the head, etc.
I told them it sounds like they’re describing the average hun fan ha ha ha
Two or three of them (at least), post on KDS.
Do they hate him as much as Flawless does? I don't hate anyone squire. Not really.
Especially Neil Lennon, don't rate him particularly high in the management stakes though and evidenced based naturally.
Hate ya auld daftie.

I remember seeing the Findlay video at the time, and in fairness, I thought McCann looked pretty embarrassed. I think it's all too easy for us to judge someone for taking the hun shilling, but if you've dedicated your life to making it as a footballer, with all the sacrifices and physical risks and then you suddenly get an opportunity to set yourself up for life, then I wouldn't be too harsh on someone for doing that.
I think the main gripe is that he's carried it on now and still seems to lean towards them (compare with Ross McCormack who played for them but then stated he still supported the Hoops).
But I tend to agree that we're in danger of having double standards, if we condemn Celtic fans or RC's for signing for them, when it does at least dilute the sectarian bile. If people think they're bad now, then back in the 70's, they burnt effigies outside the stadium if they'd signed an RC Celtic fan. I agree him signing for them isn't the real issue. It's a short career and you make what you can but there is no excuse for being a 'ranger' for life.
His bias towards them in a job which one is supposed to be impartial was embarrassing.

I don't hate anyone squire. Not really. Especially Neil Lennon, don't rate him particularly high in the management stakes though and evidenced based naturally. Hate ya auld daftie. You do come across, possibly unintentionally, as someone with an irrational dislike to a manager who other than his bad choice in going to a Bolton ‘franchise’ in financial free fall has always improved the teams he has managed.
He is in the top 3 managers in Scotland based on the evidence.
Maybe you see it as your job to counter balance people you believe over estimate him. That isn’t a good basis of an empirical, evidence based argument as you have already biased your position by taking a position.
Never seen anything that resembles anything like hate though, but I think Torq was using the word very loosely.

I don't dislike Neil Lennon either, the one time I spoke to him he was perfectly amiable actually. I don't rate him as a manager half as much as a lot of people on here do. People have these types of disagreements about literally 100s players and managers( Celtic and others ) on here every day. Counter argument throughout the website isn't that the point? If only football discussion was empirical and evidence based we'd be an incredibly boring lot.
For the record, again, I don't hate Neil Lennon. The thought is frankly absurd.

Yaddayaddayadda.
I hope gerrard runs his mouth off a lot more in the close season. It would be hard to make himself look a bigger dick than he is already but its got to be worth a try.

I don’t think you dislike him, I’m just pointing out that it comes across that way ( which you may or may not care about ) maybe because you are responding to the views of others who talk him up.
My point is you can’t then claim that to be evidence based as you did. You are stating a case rather than establishing all the evidence, which is fair enough.

He never actually said our titles were easy, but he has basically said he's coming here to put us in our place. I never actually minded Warburton, McCall, Pedro and Murty but this guy has gone full hun before he's even arrived at Ibrokes.
Get him pumped Brendan.

STEVEN GE55ARD saw Celtic lift the Premiership trophy then warned them their days of easy title wins are over. The new Rangers boss also watched the incredible 5-5 draw at Easter Road in Dubai, where he was attending his final Liverpool club function before he officially takes charge at Ibrox on Ge55ard said: “Celtic have had it their own way for far too long.
I go with Liverpool’s blessings.”
Ge55ard will travel to Kiev for the Champions League Final as part of his TV duties before taking the Ibrox job. And he pointed out, in a beach hotel Question and Answer session, that Rangers’ support is set to significantly increase.
He said: “Every fan I have bumped into since the news broke are now Rangers fans too so that’s been a huge boost for me. “I have had so many good luck wishes and messages and it has been really great for me.” And Ge55ard has told Rangers fans he wants to play the game in the same swashbuckling style as his mentor Jurgen Klopp.
Ge55ard added: “I think every fan in the world loves watching that. “He’s been absolutely massive for the club. You don’t want someone to pretend or bat back any question. He answers every single question with honesty and truth. “It’s one of his values that I hope to take.” Aye, Stevie, they are all Rangers fans now
Did you ask them if they were? Or did they say "That's me a Rangers fan now" ?
