Dunno if anyone knows the answer to this but hey ho, I'll ask it anyway. Technically, if we were to lose the Scottish Cup final - we won't - then Motherwell would enter the Europa League at the second qualifying round. That's a whole round after Aberdeen and Rangers, regardless of who finishes where. However, when we win, because we have already qualified for a European Cup, does that mean that the 4th team in the league is gifted the place in the second round? Or is it given to the team who finishes 2nd and the 3rd and 4th places teams start in the first round? I'd love to see Rangers and Aberdeen fight over 2nd just to start a whole round before Hibs.
They all start in the same round. Don't think that's right for Scotland. Given the coefficient Scotland still has a place in the second round which goes to the Cup winners, or if they are in the CL, then the 2nd team in the league.
(Give it a year or so and the coefficient will drop some more and that will no longer be the case)

Nope, a drop in the ocean but the GASL has done well to make the gullible effwits forget we humiliated them twice in a couple of weeks. He's a master at making people part with their money.
A master ? Dunno about that , it's the gullible and the servile we're talking about , easily conned. Just ask the man with the big hands , currently residing in a large chateau in the south of France. Last time I was there in February, Normandy was still in the north of France as it has been for several millennia.

Surely to absolute eff that can't be his signature?
I can imagine him with one eye shut and his tongue out as he signed it. That's a bit unfair, he's writing in a different language.

There’s claims that Cardiff and Burnley are willing to bid £3million for Windass. Can’t see why they would waste that sort of money on a guy who definitely isn’t good enough for the Premiership.

This is an extract from a Sun Sevco article this morning about Windass being a £3 million target for EPL teams. Anyway some funny wee bits in here. Murphy who was signing defo might not be and the Chinese are weighing up an offer for Lessthanmore.
"Eduardo Herrara, Fabio Cardoso, Andy Halliday, Jak Alnwick, Joe Dodoo, Bruno Alves and Michael O’Halloran are expected to be shown the door.
Loan players Sean Goss and Russell Martin are unlikely to be kept on while Jason Cummings and Jamie Murphy could land deals. But Gers chiefs are also looking at players they can sell.
Striker Alfredo Morelos could go, with Chinese club Beijing Renhe weighing up another bid — but significantly lower than the £11million they tabled in January."

thieves, thieves, tramps and thieves Nearly, that was the name of the Ibrox cover version.
It was originally called 'Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves' but Ibrox version was a little closer to the truth.

That Ge55ad has some job on his hands. I cannot understand why he would take it, honestly no idea. Ego, exposure, PR etc... I can't see any possible reasons that actually make sense. I still don't think he'll turn up, must be some other reason for him willing to be associated with them at this point. No way he'll actually see it through & turn up for work next season - what reason would he have? It's a total career ending move, look at everyone else who's tried it & they were better off then. Madness!
3 Year deal with a reported 2 million a season wages. Not many people would knock that back. Also, its a win win situation for him, if he makes a success of it, big if, then he can say he turned round a failing club and will most likely be offered a few mid table english premiership jobs. If he makes a pigs ear of it, then he can blame the toxic culture at the club and blame the board/players/fans for his failings, then be offered mid to upper english championship jobs.
£2m a season?! Is that how much he is on? Is that the same as BR? It came from john james so hardly reliable.

Were people not claiming Alves was on close to 30? If so, seems plausible (albeit mad) that Stevie Gee is on 40.
Rumoured to be on more than that, best paid player in Scotland. The Stevie G factor working already, 30k ST renewals so far according to sevco. He isn't. 25k iirc, when he first signed for them I managed to get a look at his contract and the figures were definently not ridiculously high.

Who do Sevco play this weekend?
Jackson spouts absolute bullshampoo in The Record
John McGinn a Rangers transfer target as Steven Gerrard looks to beat off English clubs to sign Hibs midfielder
Spoiler: click to toggle Steven Gerrard is weighing up an attempt to hijack John McGinn’s summer move across the border.
Record Sport understands Gerrard has been alerted to McGinn’s availability by director of football Mark Allen and head of scouting Andy Scoulding - both of whom have been tracking the 23-year-old’s situation for months.
In fact, the player and his representatives were made aware of Rangers’ interest before Gerrard was officially appointed as the new man in charge last Friday.
And the Ibrox boss in waiting dispatched a scout to Tynecastle on Wednesday night to run the rule over McGinn as the Hibs star suffered a derby defeat at the hands of city rivals Hearts.
Rangers director of football Mark Allen has been watching McGinn closely throughout the season
Now Gerrard - who has already drawn up a long list of summer targets - must weigh up whether or not to add McGinn’s name to his list and enter the bidding for one of Scotland’s most sought-after and valuable young talents.
But, if Gerrard does decide to make a move, he’ll face stiff financial opposition as it's believed a number of big- spending English clubs - including at least one from the Premier League - are preparing to come to the table with the bidding likely to start at no less than £3million.
Hibs boss Neil Lennon believes the club should be holding out for as much as £5million even though McGinn only has one year left to run on his Easter Road contract. And the player’s price could spiral if a number of potential bidders follow up their interest with firm cash offers.
Although most of McGinn’s potential suitors are believed to be championship clubs some top flight bosses, including West Ham’s Davie Moyes, have been monitoring McGinn’s progression since the start of the season.
But with doubts still surrounding Moyes’ future in London’s East End - despite him leading the Hammers to safety by the skin of their teeth - it remains to be seen if he will be in any position to lead the bidding.
Now Gerrard is mulling over the chance to get in early as he plots for his first season in senior management.
It’s understood the 37-year-old has drawn up a list of his own targets which includes a number of former team-mates and opponents from his time at Liverpool, with veteran defender Martin Skrtel among his preferred options.

Durrant has not been paying attention, has he? “Steven will be hoping that he now gets the backing of the board to bring in the calibre of player that will allow him to challenge Celtic".
CULL HERO Rangers legend Ian Durrant tips Steven Gerrard to give the Ibrox side an overhaul like Graeme Souness did Souness told a number of players their Gers career was over when he arrived in 1986 and the current squad may face a similar situation under Gerrard
Spoiler: click to toggle By Alan Potts GRAEME SOUNESS walked into Rangers and told a host of players their Ibrox careers were over. Now Light Blues legend Ian Durrant believes another former Anfield hero will do exactly the same thing 32 years on. Steven Gerrard will arrive in Govan on June 1 tasked with the job of steering the Gers ship back to the promised land of trophies and title challenges. It will be the former England captain’s first job in senior management – just like it was for Souness all those years ago. But midfield icon Durrant – who survived the Souness cull – reckons Gerrard has what it takes to get the Ibrox side on the right course once again. He said: “Gerrard is a great addition to the Scottish game. “You think about what Souness did in terms of bringing in the type of players that he attracted. “Steven will be hoping that he now gets the backing of the board to bring in the calibre of player that will allow him to challenge Celtic. “The team needs an overhaul – AGAIN. Only a year after the last one. “It’s quite sad in a way, but that’s the way it is with a new manager going into the club with new ideas. He will want to play a different way and a few will go out and a few will come in. “Brendan Rodgers has gone into Celtic and worked with players who were in Ronny Deila’s side and getting stick. “It’s amazing what a manager can do. He can take a liking to you and it gives you a boost. “There wasn’t a fear factor amongst the players when Graeme joined. It was more seeing the calibre of player who was signing – that kept you on your toes. “When Souness came in, he said in his first meeting with the players that there was going to be a complete overhaul. “Within a week of him joining, 15 players left the club. “That showed you the scale of what he wanted to do. He saw an open sheet and said that, if you wanted to play, you needed to perform. “He set a standard. As a player and also as a player-manager that you had to reach and had to meet. “I’m sure Steven will be doing his homework on all of them now along with his assistants. It’s not as if Steven is going to go into something like this blind. “His eyes will be wide open and I’m sure he’ll be working with the director of football Mark Allen right now identifying players. “As soon as the season finishes, he will be right on it. The gap is there for everyone to see and the job for everyone is to catch Celtic. “Along with Rangers, there is Aberdeen and there is Hibs, who have been fantastic this season. “If you look at the individual matches this season, you would say that it’s been Hibs who have pushed Celtic the closest. “It shows that, on a given day, with the right performance and personnel, you can give Celtic a game. “But right now, they have the upper hand with their personnel. “The way Brendan Rodgers has been talking, it looks as though they are going to get stronger again, so that puts added pressure onto teams who are trying to close the gap on them.” Souness brought strength and power to a Rangers side who had limped over the line in fifth back in season 1985/86 – 15 points behind champions Celtic. Durrant believes there are too many players at Ibrox who are happy to pick up a wage. But he reckons they have one game left, against Hibs on Sunday, to prove to the new manager, and No2 Gary McAllister they have what it takes to be part of the new revolution at Ibrox. He added: “When Graeme came into Rangers, he spent the money that was there available to him wisely. “His first three signings were Chris Woods, Terry Butcher and Colin West. All of them above six foot tall. “They were physical and they came in and made a difference. Players at Rangers right now will be worried about their jobs. “You are looking at what Steven is going to bring in, who he is going to bring, so the players now have had the last two games and Sunday’s cup final with Hibs to prove they should be part of the new manager’s plans. “It’ll be worrying times for them in terms of who will be going and who will be staying. “Maybe Rangers have too many players in their squad. You see pictures of them sitting in the main stand. “Steven will go in and I’m sure he’s got ideas. I’m sure he’s got an eye for recruitment in terms of what he wants, how he wants to play, how he’s going to combat other teams. “The recruitment has to be bang on now. I’m sure they are looking now ahead of a tough game against Hibs. “If they qualify for the Europa League, they are at it right away. “Rangers would need to play three qualifiers to get into it, so it would be an early start but I think that would be a good thing. “You want to play in Europe and Steven will want that. “Gary McAllister knows Scotland and he’s a Rangers fan. “He’ll give pointers because Steven will be going into a whole new thing. “I know he’s been at Liverpool, but it’s a whole new thing at Rangers and every little will help him. “Gary will be a great addition to the club and, hopefully, he can push him on.” https://www.thescottishsun.co.uk/sport/football/2623939/rangers-legend-ian-durrant-tips-steven-gerrard-to-give-the-ibrox-side-an-overhaul-like-graeme-souness-did/
