Rangers: Carlos Pena will 'not continue' with Cruz Azul loan deal

On-loan Rangers midfielder Carlos Pena will not remain at Cruz Azul, the club's manager Pedro Caixinha has confirmed.

Pena joined the Mexican club on a deal until January 2019, rejoining Caixinha who signed him for Rangers.

But the Portuguese manager has confirmed that Pena will not play for Cruz Azul again.

"Carlos [Peña] is not going to continue with us, he has known it directly from me," Caixinha said.

Pena, who was signed by the Ibrox last summer for an undisclosed fee reported to be around £2m, scored five goals in 14 Rangers appearances.

He has played seven times for Cruz Azul since joining them in January, but his last appearance was on 4 April, in a 2-1 defeat by CF America.

Caixinha was sacked by Rangers in late October after just seven months in charge.

Last week he insisted that he knew for a fact the huns had large investment to announce. When it didnt happen he's looked a right tit.

And miss out on fun like Progres?

Not for this bear.

The eejits who'd already booked trips for the next round are often forgotten about...
I had forgotten about that. Truly wondrous times
Haha forgot about that. Some donkey in my old work done that. Him and his mates all booked and paid for to go to Cyprus for the next round. Bragging about seeing his team "back in European action". His facebook was a joy to behold :lolhuns:

Especially as I got to enjoy the Progres game from a villa in Cyprus. :chuffed: And then him and his mates fb posts trying to act like they were just off on a jolly when the trip came around :lolhuns:

Dave King said in his Q&A that Carlos Pena will not be coming back until January.

I think he is trying to claim that they took him on loan until January so they keep him, no return to sender.

Sevco's UEFA license issue.
Seems they will need to convert their shareholder debt to equity very soon or it will mean no European football next season.

Problem- RIFC/Sevco can't convert debt provided by concert party members until King resolves the Takeover Panel issue. 😁

Not sure the accuracy but if it is the case they shouldn't get a licence.
Does anyone know how the process of issuing shares works? Would trading need to be resumed on the stock market and would that (presumably) require a NOMAD willing to work with King? And just pure idle speculation on my part, but once the shares resume trading, won't their real value become apparent (whatever that may be), so rather than 27, 25, or 20p; it might turn out that they're considered to be worth much less, or is that just wishful thinking?

RE the European license issue, I reckon they'll find a way to fudge it - for the coming season at least.

Edit: Just to add, King seemed insistent on repeating that no loans would be repaid with any money raised by the club, either through transfers, or rights issues. He said it so often and so vehemently, it makes me believe what Phil was saying that some of the soft loan 'investors' were looking for their money back.
Shares are issued with the majority agreement of the other shareholders and in this case via the AGM where they have agreed a rights issue. They also have a number of free stock

If the shares are ever relisted it would be what people thought they where worth. I would imagine if they where relisted tomorrow they would fall due to a variety of reasons - debt to turnover, TOP ruling, directors resigning, going concern etc

The license from what I have seen has only been refused after repeated breaches - the first stage is normally a sanction or penalty such as limit to squad size

TOP rules forbid any of the concert party taking part until the offer has been done and dusted.
I wasn't clear sorry, I meant the question in the context of swapping debt for equity - rather than a rights issue - but that's answered most of it, thanks.

Only... what's free stock?

The Progres result was funny but the fact they they had planned their entire preseason around a Europa League run, meaning they had no proper games for about 3 weeks, was pretty amusing as well.
What I loved most about the Progres game was sure, it was funny, but after the laughs subsided, I kinda shrugged and knew deep down it was always a possibility that they'd lose that match! I'm sure most of us went through the same thought process. That says absolutely everything about this long running comedy show.

Then Pedro popped up all shouty in the hedge and it was back to the hilarity!

A company agrees that will allow the issue of 1000 shares but for now only sells 500 to investors. The remaining 500 are free stock that it can sell if it needs to raise additional funds

The last rights issue was limited due to costs (prospectus etc) wasn't underwritten and was under subscribed

King is trying to have a rights issue of 16M (nett of costs?) before end of June or it's no euro license for them

Isn't he running out of time? or are they exempt from producing a prospectus if they limit the rights to 18M euros
