I finally caught up with this thread last night. What a read ... and Cartuja :worthy:

I think we will look back at this and point to Dave King's Q&A as the point this sitcom finally jumped the shark. There have been points in the story where we were asked to stretch our credulity, but the Q&A put a big capital "IN" in front of the word. The writers finally took it too far. I've enjoyed the way that events created by the writers have conspired in a seemingly random way to join up in a moment of hilarity, some of the ingenius ways to wrest comedy out of a mundane situation have been just brilliant.

But it's now getting to the stage where the ineluctable progression to a comedic peak is just too predictable. Everything has to end in chaos and disaster, the occasional rally on the football field isn't enough anymore to give us the sense of normality which the off field antics need to make the comedy fall unexpected and hilarious.

I'll keep watching off course and I expect the writers themselves will rally and give us a few more twists and turns to brighten our day. But when all this is over we will look back and see the Dave King Q&A skit as the moment that signalled the end game, the final series and the point at which we all knew it had run its course.
I don't know if that Dave King Q&A would even make my top ten. My top 5 banter years highlights are (in no particular order)

1. Charlie Greens Christmas message
2. Bomber B show us the deeds/youz buy ra pies
3. Pedro arguing with the fans standing in a bush after Progres
4. Craigie Whyte standing on the courtroom steps after a not guilty with that braw new beard and winning smile
5. Charlie Greens Dallas Cowboys/Adidas sponsorship deal with Claudio Reyna and Carlos Bocanegra as rangers/Adidas ambassadors mega moon beam. What a week that was

"Define Manchester United".

It has to be "Same old Alloa, always cheating" for this bear.

My personal favourite remains Charles Green's deathbed testimony, if only for the sheer 'what the actual eff?' of it.

Any time a Tim points out the conflict between financial fact and their bong-fuelled fantasies, he is dismissed as being 'obsessed'... we all know the reverse is the case. The old club died chasing Lions; the new one is heading the same way by clinging to the arrogant notion that they have to be the ones to end our reign as champions... I wonder how much longer they can stumble on.

I wasn't bothered about where they finished in the league, but i've changed my mind. I want them to finish 4th. It's not just for the fact it'd be more humiliation, it's that it means less money, it means Gerrard has a bigger job on his hands, it means they have regressed and it means Neil Lennon can lord it over them on a quarter of the budget. Kill the bastards, stamp them into the ground.

If Hibs play anything like they did against us then they will win. And possibly by a good few.

I believe BR is friendly with Lennon too, so he'll be doing his best to help his pal out too.

McInnes pumped. Aberdeen pumped. Nicholl pumped. Sevco Pumped.

Intae them!

Bilel Moshni booting a Motherwell player up the arse in a 6 1 aggregate pumping made me laugh more than most of it has.

I'm new. Be gentle.
On this SFA web page about UEFA licencing, it says that Sevco has been granted a UEFA licence, but Hibs are listed as N/A, does anyone why Hibs would be N/A while Sevco is granted?

They were in the Championship last year. All Premiership teams are granted a licence for the following seasons Uefa competitions if they meet the criteria.

Looked shampoo on the outside too, plenty of teams have their badges etc on them, they had an A4 page with "Rangers" stuck on the window, plus a WATP number plate

Who the feck makes such a big deal about a team bus in the first place?

Their desperation to still be seen as a big club during 'the Journey' was sensational ha ha ha

The years of fun have been great, but we need to pulverised them for longer. The old Rangers died because we were too good. Nothing less than driving Sevco into insolvency, administration and liquidation will do. We also need to get the titles stripped from the old club; hopefully soon after we have killed the new club.
