I'll say one thing for the Lying King, his ramblings have saved us having to endure a summer of endless Moonbeams on Stevie G's wish list.

That’s the part I cannot understand. Jabba is employed as a moonbeam generator - why at this juncture would King decide the rank and file orcs require some cold hard truths is a mystery to me.

The hilarious part of this is that they are still refusing to believe the truth. They are convinced that’s it’s not true and that there is still a big announcement in the offing

I wonder if there's a hint that there might be something happening to the 'holding company' in the not too distant future.

Quote:

Just to finally cover the Takeover Panel, it is important to stress this has absolutely nothing whatsoever in any way to do with the football club, directly or indirectly. It makes no difference to the football club, it makes no difference to the funding of the football club, it makes no difference to the ownership of the football club. This is an issue between myself and the shareholders of the holding company. It has got nothing to do with Rangers, it has got nothing to do with the team, nothing to do with funding. Really, all that happens at the end of this process, when it is completed, if it is completed, is the extent of my shareholding in the Rangers International Football Club. That’s all it affects. It has got nothing to do with the football team, it has got nothing to do with the funding of the football team, it has got nothing to do with the funding of the football team. It is really a personal matter between me, the shareholders and the Takeover Panel.
To quote someone on Twitter - "Then why does the holding company have to submit it's accounts to UEFA for a Licence for the Club ?" they are inextricably linked in all things !

Pinch of salt time, but could be interesting.

My source, who has yet to let me down, who predicted that Gerrard would be signed sealed and delivered before anyone else, had an insight that he has just shared. He asserts that Gerrard is on the same package as Rodgers which one is led to believe is circa £2m plus bonuses. However here’s the kicker or would kickback be more apposite? He further claims that his salary will be paid by a mystery benefactor whose firm may or may not be engaged in a lucrative refurbishment project at Ibrox. The individual who provides many millions of pounds in scaffolding – pro bono – is the kind of RRM he suggests that I have a close look at.

Does anyone know if King is correct about the penny shareholders. He says there has to be more than 50 per cent of non-concert party members taking up the offer before he is obliged to cough up the cash. Is this true or is there another court case potentially looming about the share offer?
Whatever King says on any subject is not true.

Some of the Hong Kong investors have already said, ‘Dave we could maybe look at putting more into the club’. It’s not really going to change it from my point of view because we have enough lined up for what we want to do. I don’t want more money into the club at this point in time, I don’t want more money just for the sake of spending it. We have a certain plan and the funds are available for next year whether there is a rights issue or not and I’m not going to change that

I'm sure TOP are delighted at being called bullies by a sociopath and serial rule breaker. Might not be a clever strategy to goad them further.

Also by his logic even if this cataclysmic event happens and Rangers win the league, they won't pass the FFP rules as they are happy to run at a lost propped up by loans. So no entry into Europe. Even if they were admitted they would have to negotiate 4 play off rounds on the unseeded side of the draw. But the Lying King and the directors know that.

Is King suggesting that he can't get money out of SA due to him being an SA resident and he can't open a UK bank account?

Having some knowledge of these things, I wonder whether he may have another reason. In terms of SA exchange control regulations, SA banks require the prior approval of the SA Reserve Bank before large sums may be transferred out of the country. Such approval will not be granted without SARS issuing a clearance certifying that all taxes are up to date. Due to his history with SARS, any request for a tax clearance will be examined very carefully...

He has to offer to buy all shares not held by him and the concert party ...all the shares actually have a nominal value of one penny and quite a few of the larger shareholders actually bought at that price

If enough of those shareholders agree to sell an amount that would take him and the concert party’s shareholding above 50% of the total shares in RIFC then he had to buy whatever amount that is

Roughly the concert party hold 32%...of the other 68% if holders of just over 18% of the total shares are willing to take the 20p a share he had to buy them... think there about 55 million shares held by others .. would need the holders of about 18 million shares to accept the offer..think the Easdales and Bkue Pitch own more than that..if they decide to cash in he’s on the hook for their shares at 20p a go... it is possible that all the folk (fans) who only own 100 shares or so as a token will not sell and that’s probably who King means when talking about small shareholders

There are those companies who had voting rights withdrawn.

They represent 10.4% of shares. if they decided to sell with Easedale they would nearly be at the 18%. Sally could make all the difference, again
