Got asked a good question there. If King can't get money out of SA, and doesn't have a UK bank account, how has he put in £30m :ponder:
He also appeared in court earlier this year and his lawyer told the court he was penniless, hes a complete and utter sociopath
I suspect a couple of thing firstly he canny open a UK bank account. There are probably a hundred reasons why he can't and also why he won't. His QC did indeed claimed he was peniless when he was instructed to pony up for his 3 bears stunt. So was he just lying as usual or are any funds he has locked up in SA by the SA tax and justice authorities? So I,ll take a guess - if he releases funds from his alleged 'trusts' (offshore trusts i believe) it is likely that he might have a further tax liability over there. Similarly, to open a UK bank account in sterling in this country might expose him to anyone who might want to sue him over here (nae point in sueing somebody who has no obvious source of funds, is there?) . Don't dismiss this quickly as there are serious questions over the soft loans he and other directors put into the kitty to keep the ship afloat. Did he perhaps, borrow the money from a fellow director? or are the new funds from a rights issue going to pay off these loans?
King is all about using other peoples money, not his own, to finance the huns, it is a fine tradition sarted by Murray when he bought the club and continued uninterrupted through the period to liquidation by the bunch of spivs who have been in power. he is not the type of guy who would pick up the bill at Mr. Singhs when they have their dinners there.
And so it continues, he may be prevented by the takeover panel from launching a rights issue but I,m told there are ways round which could be employed by King. There are of course strong clues, straws in the wind through the resignation of directors Murray and Ross. I imagine they are running a mile, they want nothing to do with whatever dodge King is up to.
Regarding his comments on Celtic and the 'one title won by Rangers' is enough to derail the Celtic juggernaut, he disnae half talk some keich. Like the Gerrard move, he is flying by the seat of his pants, talking up the Huns simply because it the only thing he can do.
sufficient to say when the rags were heralding the warchest that Gerrard is going to get for transfers the board were silent. It now seems that there is no warchest, he will get 'what he needs' - aye, right.
Its all smoke and mirrors.I asked the question at the outset 'where is he going to get the money from?' when he appointed Gerrard. I don't think even King knows. What he does know is that neither he nor the club have any and he is on the lookout for any mug who can be easily duped into handing it over. Step forward the loyal bears.......or are they that stupid?........................surely not.
I'm sure the legal beagles on here can confirm he doesn't need a UK account.

He can transfer it directly into an escrow account operated by solicitors.

I can see them signing a so called "big name " who will be well past his best maybe even two and the hordes will react as if the leagues in the bag like they did after the signing of Barton and Alves the last two years. After all they aren't that far behind us.
Charles Adam definitely

Maybe even Crouch ??

As King's toxicity rapidly increases, I do wonder when the contamination will start to poison other directors, such as Park

People are often judged by the company they keep

I recall reading somewhere recently that one of the TOP's concerns in this matter is that the GASL has thus far failed to produce 'third party' confirmation that the funds actually exist. I have not seen anything to suggest that that is no longer a concern of the TOP. The GASL has tried to trivialise the TOP's insistence that he puts the cash - if there really is cash - into a UK account as pointless bureaucracy , but I think this may be some means by which the TOP can have some assurance that this convicted tax fraudster can't wriggle out.

Does anyone know if King is correct about the penny shareholders. He says there has to be more than 50 per cent of non-concert party members taking up the offer before he is obliged to cough up the cash. Is this true or is there another court case potentially looming about the share offer?

Awesome production. Btw GASL assertion that they just need one go at the champions league is like saying 'hey sellick, geeza slug ae yer ginger eh? ' nah wee man but ye kin hiv the empty rammy and buy yersel a wee sweetie. They have an unquenchable thirst and we've got all the juice. shame innit.
