It's true that getting the right manager in would be the most important thing that Sevco could do to stop us from winning the title next year. I don't believe for one second that Gerrard is that manager, but the principle is reasonable enough.

It shouldn't be ignored that their squad of players is, well, shampooe. Gerrard could be the new Guardiola, but Andy Halliday sure as hell ain't the new Iniesta. At best they might be able to afford two or three players who'd be good enough to play for us, but that still leaves us with eight players on the pitch who are better than theirs.

And then there's the bizarre claim that a year without CL football would ruin us. We've only qualified twice in the last four years, and yet somehow the lights are still on at Celtic Park. In any case, even if the unthinkable were to happen and they were to pip us to a league title, they'd have to qualify for the CL themselves, via a much harder route than we've earned the right to have, in order to come anywhere close to narrowing the financial gulf between the two clubs. That would require such significant Progres in the playing side that I find it hard to believe that even the most credulous of huns truly believes in their little black heart that they could really make the most of that solitary shot that they might have.
When he mentions a year without CL for us , he also means its coupled with them winning the title getting to the Groups .

So get it up ye Timmy , yeez ur f#cked.

Man's a genius.

The key thing for me from King's witterings is that he really cannot picture any way a football club can be a success without the multi-millions from the Champions League. He literally has no concept that it's possible to operate within your known budgets, and take any European income as a bonus.

Sure, things are tighter at Celtic if we fail to qualify for the Champions League, but we have money in the bank and tens of millions of talent in the squad because of good recruitment, something Sevco has decided is beneath them.

He's learned absolutely nothing from the death of Rangers.

Long may he reign.
They don’t need money, there plan is to work on a deficit every year and just keep topping up with loans until they get into the champions league then they’ll start to make profit. Sounds like a plan to me, roll on 20 in a row.

Just saw a tweet that they've provisionally been denied a licence to play in Europe and they are at this moment going through an appeals process.

Anyone?
I posted that link earlier and Timomouse was inferring from GASL's comments on " fully funding next year" and "getting the share issue out by June" was a requirement to satisfy UEFA's FPP which would suggest that SFA have passed the licence up for their approval ? :suspect:
#I would read the same into it but we'll have to wait on some enterprising Journo (or Phil) to enquire/investigate ! :ph43r:

He doesn’t know if Gerrard wants to gut the squad apparently, reading those answers.

I bet he does, and they will have discussed it and their plans for the season ahead. Of course they would. He just doesn't want to let the huns know before they pay for their season tickets.
I'd say it was probably because he didn't want to undermine his squad who are #goingforsecond but then again he shafted Murty days before they were due their regular horsing from us.

“With all Celtic’s resources they are not a million points away from Aberdeen or Hibs. They (Aberdeen and Hibs) have resources that are far less than what we have at the moment"

Still trying to work that one out

Nah, standard west end curry house beloved by hun players. It's not bad but Mother India is up the road, as is Mother India's Cafe.

Dave Kings Q&A.
The TOP is an irrelevance and nothing to do with the club and wants the media to stop talking about it. DK on TOP "I have spent a lot of my life with people telling me what they are going to do to me. Twenty years. I’m still here". Also saying that they never sold Morales because the money wouldn't be used to pay loans they have an agreement that it would be investe din the squad. He also says that Pena cannot come back to the club until January.
Spoiler: click to toggle
Quote:

There is no intention of repaying the loans, it’s not going to happen, no loans will be repaid, so that wouldn’t have helped us in that regard.

Eh?! :ponder:

In the "fag end"of the Kelly's and White era, I remember Terry Cassidy saying something similar in a press briefing.

Words to the effect that in a few years we would be so far ahead of them, they would be wondering what has happened. (He also famously said that shirt sponsorship was on the way out after he couldn't find one or rather one that was prepared to deal with him)

The difference is that at the time, the vast majority of the Celtic support cringed at the comments. We knew were we were heading under that board. Rangers fans on the other hand seem to be lapping what King says up.

As always with King, when he says something you have to look at him straight in the eye and say...are you talking to me...

Squirrels everywhere in his latest bullshampoo, how long does Jabba spend writing up this pish. Anyway, as always the main story is buried within. There’s either a quick in and out close season insolvency happening or UEFA need convincing of why they are getting a licence.

Man's a genius ,do nothing, get no further investment, sit back and wait for Celtic to implode which will happen when we achieve 15 in a row and the SFA / SFPL get fed up with us and kick us out. Absolute genius.

Makes you wonder why he's not sitting down with the UN to sort out middle east peace and world hunger.

What commitment have you given to Steven Gerrard?

We have given a commitment that we will continue to invest in the squad and we will be a net investor still. We will provide additional net funds to him.
He's just going to buy them new nets isn't he?
