My favorite reaction from der hun is the general agreement with his postulation that we'll collapse if we can't reach the champions league.
Of that my favorite was one of them who said something like 'He's right, obviously I have no knowledge of their books....'
That's the strange thing about the Celtic accounts, you can just have a look at them, with all the figures n' that, it's one of the strange things about a PLC.... it has to be public.
It's a whole new level of stupid over there, it's like a U.S. red state level of stupid where anyone who starts to act smart in any way is run out of town or turned into BBQ, everyone has to be right down at the lowest level of stupid so they can all feel comfortable.
F**k 'em, hope King persuades more of them to turn their saved turnip peelings into cash, give it to Club 1972 and they lose it all again, willful stupidity should be punished when possible.

By the way
‘They’ll fold like a pack of cards’
Is just what he thinks will happen - like he’s at the golf with his mates and he opines on how things play out over a cigar
It’s the big phud in the clubhouse patter - juvenile and not really very well thought out - it’s not a strategic and informed view - it’s just a big crass choob talking to his mates - ‘aye punch them in the nose and they fold like a pack of cards’
He’s wandered into urban myth style statements - sometimes when you punch the bigger guy in the nose - he knocks ten bells out of you - he doesn’t run away with a new found respect for you - he just punches you harder and gets his mates to join in -
As Chris Rock said - ‘people like to say what goes around comes around - no it dont - sometimes stuff just keeps coming round’
Anyway - you fold like a house of cards anyway not a pack - can’t even get his metaphors right

Jesus, that is just totally and utterly bonkers. Either a machiavellian masterplan to get himself declared insane, or he is actually insane.

An interesting exchange on The Scotsman's website between a poster called Reiver and the notorious 'Uncle' Jack Irvine
Reiver • 6 hours ago Anyone being forced to make an offer by TOP is BARRED from dealing in shares in the company concerned until the offer and any acceptances are satisfied. This also applies to any members of the concert party.
There is NO debt for equity swap and additional share purchases going to take place for months yet and that will only be IF King meets the TOP and Scottish courts instructions.
So, of course it affects the club. No share deal, no cancellation of loans, no UEFA financial fair play compliance, no UEFA license, no income from European games, no meeting the auditors going concern promise and probably no accounts signed off by auditors this year.
This all results in No TRFC.
5 •Reply•Share › Avatar Jack Irvine Reiver • 4 hours ago Reiver is absolutely correct but I assume Mr King knows this and when the TOP slaps him down and bans his proposed £6m dealings he can say that his dreams for the club have been thwarted by these horrible City types. The problem is that there is still no money for Mr Gerrard and his backroom team nor funds to bring in new and better players. Paul Murray was very wise to resign when he did because any professionally qualified person left in the vicinity of Ibrox is liable to find future career prospects dramatically curtailed. Wasn't there a poster on the old SFM blog called Reiver?
It Wouldn't SURPRISE me if that was Black Jack replying to HIMSELF there.

An in the know guy on RM (with 681 posts) has this to say on Dodgy Dave and his investment press conference.
Tomorrow will see a financial announcement of investment that will topple the Gerrard appointment. 2 investors are coming in from afar as rumoured with the resignations but the return of SDM and/or at least his money is going to be the headline. Excited for tomorrow now, hopefully the good times are back at Ibrox
Seriously though as stated it is the only reason we have SG. This announcement from the source will be bigger than our new manager and the last but the one I am not sure were I stand on, is the announcement that SDM is somehow back.
I could see SDM returning but not his money! Catching up, and knowing what we know now, this is magnificent.

What is shocking is that the SMSM have printed that fairytale, from the Torygraph down to the Daily Recum (In Dante's Circle), verbatum without a challenge ! I wonder if his "House of Cards " taunt will provoke Peter into a response or Desmond to raise the stakes even more ? More importantly he has stuck a stick into the TOP Hornet's Nest & thumbed his nose at them publically - he's just a naughty boy who's about to be spanked !

What's the early word on the moonbeam grapevine?
Mega investment from Sir Minty, Michelle Mone, Michelle Mone's rich hubby, Singapore, Middle East, oil sheikh, Russian oligarch, Fenway, Red Bull, someone called Walker, mystery investor................
No inside info but given every morsel of good news is leaked by King and L5 I'd guess there's no solid "investment" (read: gift) on the way, just a share issue. That would have been an easier sell for the hun leadership a few years ago but there are several factions now and everyone in the MSM knows King is an absolute chancer. I suspect the Stevie G revolution will raise a few quid regardless, no one ever went bust underestimating the stupidity of folk wearing Rangers scarves. Is King shameless enough to ask his fellow directors to forego the money owed to them? Haha you'd almost be surprised if there wasn't something mad like that in there. That should be the subtitle to this thread.

Dave King: Celtic's domestic dominance is like a "pack of cards" - one Scottish title win is all Rangers need Matthew Lindsay @MattLindsayHTChief Football Writer [IMG] Rangers chairman Dave King leaves Ibrox after giving a media briefing. RANGERS chairman Dave King last night compared Celtic’s domestic dominance to “a pack of cards” and predicted just a single Scottish title win could tip the balance of power in favour of the Ibrox club. The South Africa-based businessman revealed that Rangers hope to raise £6 million from a share issue “by the end of June”. He confirmed that Steven Gerrard, the Liverpool and England great who was appointed manager on Friday, will be money to spend in the transfer market. And he predicted that taking the income from the Champions League group stages – something which is worth in excess of £30 million – away from Celtic would enable Rangers to compete with them. Asked how Rangers could challenge Celtic again, King said: “We appoint a manager who can win games, with more resources, and we take one league away from Celtic. “We only need one league. We don’t need two or three. We need one. Once we take one away, it’s a pack of cards. “With all Celtic’s resources they are not a million points away from Aberdeenor Hibs. They (Aberdeen and Hibs) have resources that are far less than what we have at the moment. We are bringing in a manager we think can tip the balance in our favour. “Celtic’s costs structure is more like we were 10 years ago. We needed Champions League football and if we went into the Europa League we were in trouble because the cost structure was so high. “Take that away for one season and it will change the numbers in the Celtic side very, very quickly. They have the comfort levels we once had of knowing we were going to get Champions League money. “We have to take that away from them and hopefully we have started that process on Friday.” King added: “Do Celtic’s resources put them beyond you forever? The answer is clearly no. We have seen the cycle. I was with Rangers when we thought Celtic would never catch up, never in a hundred years. “Dick Advocaat said they would never, ever catch up. I think it lasted 11 minutes into the next game we played against them when we went 3-0 down. They caught up and then went past us because Martin O’Neill came in and figured out a different way to do it. “You need the right management structure to do it. At the moment we’ve gone more top heavy on management because we have invested in the squad and struggled with stability in the manager’s office. We’ve gone the other way. We have now gone very, very strong in the management squad. “It depends on if they decide to invest or how well they invest. Celtic might be over-resourced, but you can still only play 11 players. They have a big squad earning a lot of wages, but these wages are not all getting on the pitch. There are opportunities there. “If it’s hard then it’s harder for both of us. We don’t have to guarantee it, we have to narrow the gap against Celtic. So if Celtic are not getting it then that’s fine in that sense. It’s bad for Scottish football, but it doesn’t create a gap between us.” We’re doomed
“Dick Advocaat said they would never, ever catch up. I think it lasted 11 minutes into the next game we played against them when we went 3-0 down. They caught up and then went past us because Martin O’Neill came in and figured out a different way to do it. About the only thing he's got right in a while Completely different circumstances and times. And we won't stand still either. Delusional stuff.

The penny shareholders in Rangers won’t get the 20p the TOP are demanding because the offer won’t actually happen.
DK: The penny shareholders are not enough to get it across the line. You need the majors, there has to be a level of acceptance. The small guys can’t make it happen. What is the level of acceptance? DK: It is going to have to be 50 per cent of the non-concert party shareholders. So you need the Easdales, all the Beaufort Nominees, the Blue Pitches, the Margaritas, to sell at 20p and they are not going to do that. DK: Celtic’s costs structure is more like we were 10 years ago. We needed Champions League football and if we went into the Europa League we were in trouble because the cost structure was so high. Particularly good line this one?
“He wasn’t coming in as a complete, accomplished manager. He was coming in to do us a favour, and I think he was undermined partly by some of his own senior players.
“Not by the board, we continue to support him, the relationship still remains strong. Graeme Murty is welcome to come back into his old position which we have kept available for him.”
A complete accomplished manager? Just like Steven Gerrard?

I’d imagine our Lawyers will be looking very closely at those comments. He’s a maniac who is being given a free ride by the press. Our Board may not be quite so toothless.
You just KNOW the stupid, gullible Hun bastards will lap up every single word of that . King is like a Bond villain who knows his plan to conquer the Universe has hit the rocks.
This is the beginning of the end, and the end is hurtling towards them like a runaway train. Feck them all.

So he's on record as saying they'll only ever make a profit when they play in the Champions League?
That single statement is proof that he hasn't a clue what he's doing.
Sevco will never be back in the Champions League as things stand. Even if they somehow won the league, their coefficient is such that they'd never make it through qualifying.
If they don't make a profit otherwise then he might as well shut the doors.
