That interview is full on bonkers. The ramblings of a hopeless liar.
Basically saying he’s got hunters of millions that can invest....but would rather use somebody else’s money.
Then the line about the “TOP accept that I won’t make the offer”. :ffs:
He’s off his effin chump. “Deliberately running a deficit” year on year.
Not going to repay the loans.

That interview is like the ramblings of a drunk. One minute he says Murty was the one who turned down the Morelos deal then in almost the next sentence he claims Murty didn't have the responsibility to do it. A nutcase.

And secondly the manager made a decision not to sell him. It was completely up to the manager. He knew that we could have sold the player but for Graeme’s own targets for what he wanted to do for the second half of the season if Morelos went out he couldn’t bring another player in and he said: ‘I would rather have the player, if you’re not putting me under pressure to get the money I would rather keep the player’ We said there’s no pressure, you make a football decision.”

That is a big decision to give the interim manager?

DK: He didn’t have the responsibility to turn it down. Outside in it looked like a lot of money, inside out too, but the money in the bank didn’t help us. That’s what we said to our football manager. We couldn’t spend the money.

Has he missed the bit where Celtic have the equivalent of the Champions League money actually sitting in a bank account? If we fail to qualify for the group stages there is enough money sitting, and enough saleable assets, that it won’t affect us too much in the long-term.
Not to mention the bit where they don't ever qualify for the CL proper again regardless of whether they win the SPFL or not.

An interesting exchange on The Scotsman's website between a poster called Reiver and the notorious 'Uncle' Jack Irvine

Anyone being forced to make an offer by TOP is BARRED from dealing in shares in the company concerned until the offer and any acceptances are satisfied. This also applies to any members of the concert party.

There is NO debt for equity swap and additional share purchases going to take place for months yet and that will only be IF King meets the TOP and Scottish courts instructions.

So, of course it affects the club. No share deal, no cancellation of loans, no UEFA financial fair play compliance, no UEFA license, no income from European games, no meeting the auditors going concern promise and probably no accounts signed off by auditors this year.

This all results in No TRFC.

Reiver is absolutely correct but I assume Mr King knows this and when the TOP slaps him down and bans his proposed £6m dealings he can say that his dreams for the club have been thwarted by these horrible City types. The problem is that there is still no money for Mr Gerrard and his backroom team nor funds to bring in new and better players. Paul Murray was very wise to resign when he did because any professionally qualified person left in the vicinity of Ibrox is liable to find future career prospects dramatically curtailed.

Amazing. Thought the same myself earlier. Gave it a listen. Wondered what happened to her lisp. Then wondered if she really had a lisp. Googled that. She definitely does. And she's 60 now! Hazel O'connor came up next, Eighth Day where she looked like Kenny Miller's original human suit, then I noticed Kate Bush and watched her mad dancing for a bit. Got wistful about the passing of time and then thought wtf is going on here. Internet + Huns = black hole.

It’s amazing that the SFA will still rubber stamp their application for a European licence when King is open about them being unable to turn a profit without Champions League qualification. Their entire business model is unsustainable and allowing them to carry on in this shambolic manner is a real dereliction of duty.

King claims he doesn’t know why Paul Murray resigned and then there’s this.

There is no way in eff that Daily Record ‘interview’ involved anyone who was fully-clothed.

Of course, the difference Dave King - or indeed anyone in the Scottish media - won't point out is that the Rangers 'house of cards' was built on an illegal tax dodging scheme.

Some of the Hong Kong investors have already said, ‘Dave we could maybe look at putting more into the club’. It’s not really going to change it from my point of view because we have enough lined up for what we want to do. I don’t want more money into the club at this point in time, I don’t want more money just for the sake of spending it. We have a certain plan and the funds are available for next year whether there is a rights issue or not and I’m not going to change that

If you’ve got the money, why did you agree a £3 million overdraft with Close Brothers?

It’s a significant achievement. For this club to normalise relationships it’s important. Clubs don’t operate without this facility. No club in the world does. Rangers were in a situation where we were denied facilities. So what we’re proving to the world now is that we can get facilities. We want facilities - I’d love to get an overdraft facility. It shows a normalisation of Rangers. It’s our single greatest achievement. To me, the best thing we did was getting that Close facility. That was huge for this club, that we could actually go out into the market place and finally get a third party to give us that facility. That was enormous for the normalisation of this club.

Dave King is now giving Charles Green a run for his money in the chutzpah stakes and that is no mean feat.

Getting a loan to fill a funding gap for the loss making club you are failing to run properly is King's greatest achievement.

I genuinely think Charles "Dallas Cowboys" Green would struggle to top that.
