No wonder he wanted that shampoo embargoed until he had effed off out the country. His strategy is simply to cross his fingers and hope Gerrard gets as big a swing of points as MON. Without the tens of millions of pounds of investment in the playing squad in MON’s first season, and with Morelos not Larsson; Halliday not Lambert; Holt not Moravcik, Dorrans not Petrov.

I’m now on board the Admin bus.

That was full of contradictions. King refers to a rights issue (which will require nomad, prospectus, underwriter, etc) and then says it will attract “new funders” which would be incompatible with a rights issue.

"We have now gone very, very strong in the management squad." = an U18 coach of some months experience.

He compares our appointment of MON with Gerrard, of MON toppling Advocaat, so Gerrard will bring doon the hoose of cards.

An absolute headbanger.

So they collapsed because their cost structures were too high.

That sort of contradicts the ‘ it wasn’t our fault , it was our enemies “. Narrative.

http://www.thenational.scot/news/16209862.Rangers_chairman_Dave_King_on_the_Takeover_Panel__Graeme_Murty__Steven_Gerrard__Paul_Murray__Alfredo_Morelos_and_more/

TOP are bullies, Rangers will only to start making a profit when we are back playing Champions League and Celtic are a "house of cards" and Rangers will collapse them.

The penny shareholders in Rangers won’t get the 20p the TOP are demanding because the offer won’t actually happen.

DK: The penny shareholders are not enough to get it across the line. You need the majors, there has to be a level of acceptance. The small guys can’t make it happen.

What is the level of acceptance?

DK: It is going to have to be 50 per cent of the non-concert party shareholders. So you need the Easdales, all the Beaufort Nominees, the Blue Pitches, the Margaritas, to sell at 20p and they are not going to do that.

DK: Celtic’s costs structure is more like we were 10 years ago. We needed Champions League football and if we went into the Europa League we were in trouble because the cost structure was so high.

DK: Take that away for one season and it will change the numbers in the Celtic side very, very quickly. They have the comfort levels we once had of knowing we were going to get Champions League money. We have to take that away from them and hopefully we have started that process on Friday.

It has got nothing to do with Rangers, it has got nothing to do with the team, nothing to do with funding. Really all that happens at the end of this process when it is completed, if it is completed, is the extent of my shareholding in the Rangers International Football Club.

This is correct King has no legal standing in The Rangers Football Club (The Club) he is the owner of The Laundrette Rangers International Football Club.

Has he missed the bit where Celtic have the equivalent of the Champions League money actually sitting in a bank account? If we fail to qualify for the group stages there is enough money sitting, and enough saleable assets, that it won’t affect us too much in the long-term.

Would it be allowed for Gerrard to put some of his own money into the Rights issue, or even for that to be tied into him getting the job ?
Wrong kind of share issue.

"Rights issue" (what King is talking about) is where the existing shareholders, including himself, are offered the "right" to buy more shares at a fixed price. This is usually done at a discount to the current market value to encourage folk to buy in. The other reason for buying in is that if you don't exercise the right, the value of your existing holding is diluted.

For folk who are not existing shareholders to buy new shares, they would have to make some sort of public offering. This is what Fergus McCann did with Celtic more than once in the late 90s, mainly to fund the rebuilding of Celtic Park. This can raise more money, as it can attract new investment (a lot of the Celtic shares were initially bought by ordinary fans), but it is more expensive in setup costs because it has to be widely advertised.
Thanks for that

So would there be anything to stop King from buying in and then selling the shares to Gerrard or whoever the next day ?

How much would Gerrard and McAllister's wages eat into this magical £6m that they're going to come up with? They're still paying Murty.
