The longer the Gerrard thing rumbles on the less likely it is.

If they have spoken to him, the deal is on the table waiting for a yay or nay. Unless he has countered with something he wants from them. Going by what Danny Murphy says, it could well be some kind of financial guarantee.

That being the case, they're effed. It would be best for King to let the moonbeams shine for as long as possible and milk the season ticket sales. Except they just got hosed by us again and the hordes are despondent.

No social media? They are effed. They're scrambling to come up with something that doesn't send the masses apoplectic. Basically anything they say right now is dead in the water. That's what happens when you beat the same drum after every crisis. Their plans have been shredded. They have nothing. They know it, their fans know it and we know it.

As far as Gerrard is concerned, his agent is playing a blinder and no doubt shopping the crap out of him in light of the interest from the Govan gullibles. I'm sure there there are one or two championship chairmen currently warming to the idea of Steven Gerrard as their Guardiola. They have cash btw.

All in all I think they make a run at your bog- standard uber hun coach and pair him with a player from the 90s.

What's Richard Gough doing these days anyway?

Is there any word on who won their POTY award last night, or are they still in lockdown mode ?
Who won their manager of the year?
It's been promised to Gerrard if he signs ... :ynwa:

He's an effing dumpling. Alan Hutton? Enforcer? Oh and btw Ricksen (God love him) got subbedin the 6-2 game after Bobby Petta showboated him to bits. Also. Alan Thompson owned Ricksen. Everybody knew it.

Break his legs for rangers? Well he certainly played as if one was still broken.

Danny Murphy's comments are interesting re. the Gerrard 'saga'.

"I can’t say if he’s taking the job yet because I don’t know – he doesn’t know – what’s in the war chest."

If it's true that Gerrard will only take over with a guaranteed amount at his disposal, that leaves two options. The most likely is that he doesn't go, and this is my opinion at the moment with all the information available. The other moonbeams option is that they manage to genuinely get some investment, but if that were the case... why would they want Stevie G? (They wouldn't).

No this all smacks of "we tried", they can't even get themselves linked with medium-names in the management game any more, so they're having to publicly court a famous persona to keep a semblance of hope alive for those in two minds about renewing their season books. That's all this is.

Wasn't he supposed to have been unveiled today, with a £20 million warchest? :lolhuns:
This is the point where the McInnes deal went south as well...

Wonder if that rumour will be reignited when they're due at Pittodrie?
As sure as there’s shampooe on a dugs arse

Surely there's no way that Murty will even see out the season after yesterday? I know that sacking an interim manager is as unprecedented as the quadrangle that the old club nearly won, but they've got to do it or they really will be hoping for us to win the Scottish Cup to get another chance to make progres in Europe. Problem is that one obvious option - give Kenny Miller the reins for the last few games - is out of the window after they backed Murty over him after the last time we humped them (or was it the humping before? I forget).

Amazing.

Exactly what the eff would you do Alan? A guy that trips over himself and falls right on his dish like a effing looney tunes character.

Hope he's the next finished hun waster to come back up the road for some scuddings. Fud.

Reminds me of the joke about Souness phoning Butcher's wife after he broke his leg at Pittodrie.

[GS] I'm afraid I have some bad news, Terry's broke a leg.
[Wife] Whose?

That gif from the Scotland game where he trips over his own feet sums him up perfectly or the story about the bouncer referring to him as “That shampooe Rangers player”

Moron.

What would breaking his legs have done to help Rangers' cause? Can't even spell Steve Clarke's name correctly.

At least he will be 'poping back in' though… Can't beat 'em, join 'em.

He's only an under 18s coach at the end of the day. I'd imagine he might he go for it.
True. He seemingly does fancy a career in management, though.

That hun job is the very definition of a poison challace. Gerrard doesn't strike me as a guy with so few options that the Huns look appealing.

The crowd for their game against Kilmarnock will be interesting, not the official one which will include all the ST , but the real one. A Monster Munch hat-trick in a thumping Killie win would be perfect...

St. Atement.

Following yesterday's disappointing result at Celtic Park, Graeme Murty has been relieved of his duties as first team coach with immediate effect.

He will be replaced on an interim basis by Graeme Murty.

(Posted on here a while back, but we should get our money's worth out of it while we can.)

Perhaps Alastair Johnston could fill the void by coming out and telling the hordes where yesterday’s mauling leaves them on his curve

In fairness to the absolute effing cretin, he could break both legs and still get a game for Sevco.
