If the tax dodger is a fit and proper person then it’s a new low for Scottish football. And in the face of serious competition

How Murray robbed pensioners of the retirement that they had earned
As others have said, I don't beleive it will be him tomorrow but its my opinion that his ego hates what is happening right now. Would he need to pass a fit and proper if he was just gifting the clumpany funds?

Maybe not significant but enough to get a few players and buy some goodwill with the support. His reputation/image was everything back then.
Do we actually think there will be investment into them?

I wouldn’t call it investment. It’s more akin to creative ways to allow an Ibrox based football team to live beyond its means through the use of other peoples money. Over the last three decades we have had ENIC, the Bank of Scotland, the unwitting taxpayer and Dave King (allegedly) all putting up money to allow Rangers and latterly Sevco to sign players that they can’t afford.

According to their annual accounts the Ibrox club need £7.2m to get to the end of this financial year. To go beyond that will almost certainly need new sources of finance. If they announce anything tomorrow it may be that they have found new benefactors or new mugs.

They're effed no matter how much they spin their shampooe.
Its just about screwing mugs out of their money now.

Quoting limited to 3 levels deepBecause the rules of engagement haven’t changed for Rangers, irrespective of who they employ. Not once in six years.
Despite their sense of entitlement, Rangers have no God-given right to be the club that challenges Celtic for titles.
They have to earn it.

But will they listen?

Steven Gerrard appointment excites me AND makes me dubious – Gordon Waddell
Rangers have no God-given right to be the one that challenges Celtic argues the Sunday Mail’s chief sports columnist.
Spoiler: click to toggle
Waddell seems to have overlooked Lenny & Hibs in his article - a team who will likely finish above Sevco this year !
The article contains the words “a resurgent Hibs”
Also contains the phrase "Mitigate against" which any half decent journo/sub editor should know is appalling English. You can mitigate risk but you militate against it. :rules:

Dear Steven

Sounds as though you have been out on the batter and done something that you thought was funny at the time.
Now you have woken up in a strange dingy foul smelling hovel, with an ugly troll hiding you clothes.
My advice is just get the hell outa Dodge!
Staying put is going to be far more embarrassing than running back to Scouseland, tackle out as Blackadder would say!

Re the Murray rumours. I know someone who is close to that family. Football is a topic of conversation that not encouraged. They’re embarrassed about the whole affair- I can’t see them getting involved.

Dear Stevie,

Tell the convicted criminals you want nothing to do with them.

Then you should head back to Merseyside and deal with whatever shampoo you’ve got yourself into down there.

Interesting. Good to hear that the concept of shame is not be completely extinct in Scottish Establishment circles.

I wonder if there are still any "well-known businessmen" who might buy the low-wattage moonbeams that the Castlemilk voertrekker is attempting to flog. Soft loans for soft lad?
