I think if there had been some huge external investment coming, it would have been announced yesterday, in the full media spotlight as the world watched on, not tucked away on a Bank Holiday Monday when the whole planet is having bar -b-q's.
I'll be astonished if any Monday announcement isn't in regard to departing Directors and the Takeover Panel.

To summarise the speculation.
Is this what people are hinting at?
King wants the previous investors to write off their loans. He can then get someone to buy up all the shares for 20p thus inheriting an almost debt free business (Close Loan and trading debts aside ) for approx £16m or less if the concert party are to take a bath with their shares as well as loans?
Park et al are refusing to write off their loans?
The funding of the Gerrard deal / revolution is put in jeopardy.
Park is then the stumbling block to stopping 10 in a row?
I have no inside info just trying to patch together the info posted.
Your problem is even trying to make sense of anything hinted at in this thread. If everything hinted at here came true the huns would've died another 10 times by now and McInnes would've been approached instead of Gerrard (Phil said it so it must be true). With a little bit of common sense you can cut through the lolz to the possibilities.
The narrative makes sense with what we do know.
Ironically the only time I ever hear anyone on here saying that newco are about to go bust are people who accuse others of saying what they haven’t said.
Commentating and laughing at multiple crisis does not constitute a forecast of them going bust as a result of them.

And after the sunshine, comes the rain....
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/dave-king-claims-rangers-were-12484473
Scotland' after winter break Steven Gerrard is taking charge of a better squad than some suggest insists the Ibrox chairman.
Dave King has claimed Rangers were the best team in Scotland after the winter break.
The Ibrox chairman is in bullish mood after the stunning capture of Steven Gerrard as manager.
King believes the squad Gerrard will inherit isn’t as bad as some suggest.
Graeme Murty’s side went on a January trip to Florida where they played two matches Stateside.
And businessman King reckons they were playing exhilarating football on their return as they notched up a nine wins – including beating Aberdeen – in 10 games.
Rangers returned from Florida in good form (Image: SNS) But the wheels came off against Celtic in March when they lost 3-2 to Brendan Rodgers’ 10 men.
King said: “I think to simplify the issue it’s about winning games.
“I think if we look at the team and my personal view is I think the team is better than they are playing.
“If you look at the way the team played when they came back from the Florida trip, they were playing really well – they were the best team in Scotland for that period.
But the wheels came off big time against Celtic
King feels Gerrard has a decent squad READ MORE Steven Gerrard congratulated by Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez “And then it kind of fell apart a little bit after the home game against Celtic, it lost its way a little bit.
“But I think Steven understands it’s about winning games, he understands this club is about winning games.
“If we can get back to winning games, getting players on board with the right character to play for Rangers and who are not intimidated by playing in front of 50,000 people at Ibrox.
“If he starts to get that right with the playing squad and with some further additions coming into the squad, then it’s about winning games and if we keep on winning games then we will also win titles.”
They are getting eff'all investment

I'll be astonished if any Monday announcement isn't in regard to departing Directors and the Takeover Panel. The only big 'investment' to come is from the gullibillies themselves, even King admitted yesterday that no new 'investors' were forthcoming. Gerrard was appointed to shift season tickets and sell their crap merchandise, nothing else. King had to bring in a 'name' to get more of them to part with their cash. The dafties haven't realised that yet and by the time they do it'll be too late!

I thought Gerrard came across as very naive in his press conference. Saying things like, "bring it on" and, "I'm here to make these people smile", seemed either very arrogant or at best very misguided.
I think it's the latter. Gerrard has no idea what he's just walked into and - like most people down south - has completely underestimated the enormity of the task. It wouldn't surprise me if he doesn't really have any knowledge of Sevco's financial problems, the seedy past of the dead club, or the basket case structure of the current one.
Brendan's comments regards the appointment were pretty measured. Nice, polite, yet at the same time they made it clear he is going to crush this guy without actually saying it directly.
The players will probably do better today against Killie than anticipated simply because the new man will be watching. But I can't see Stevie G coming up against a guy with the mental toughness and managerial experience of Neil Lennon and not getting his arse handed to him. Same with Clarke. Those guys are real pro managers, McInnes as well actually.
I get the feeling Stevie isn't taking all of this too seriously. As Strachan said, he really should be.
I don't think the task of competing with celtic is as enormous as some claim, for instance they have played a bit better in spells under murty and if their home form had been a bit better they would likely have 2nd sewn up. It just that no way is gerrard equipped to deal with the inevitable implosion after every setback thats coming along the way. Even with current levels of spending gerrard will fancy his chances of improving them. Thats why he is there. It's about as low risk a gamble as he could have got for his first job in management. If he had gone to some English championship club it would have been a much, much more difficult and a lot less publicity . You’re completely missing the number of daft points we dropped. If we get close to 90 points they will be well back.
