If the huns do somehow manage to come up with financial backing then our board will have to meet the challenge to allow Brendan to slap the upstart down
Worst thing we could do is react to this. Our aim should always be to try to produce the best possible team we can afford with the resources available - and that shouldn’t change regardless of what any opponents are doing.

The effing state of that. The sort of carrot who shoplifts in Poundland.
I've been laughing at it constantly, surely they can't think he's playing?

I’d be surprised if the Gerrard appointment isn’t part of a wider investment strategy. Some kind of multi club scenario perhaps....King may only be an ephemeral player in such a set up🤔

They have the cheek to call us obsessed :ponder:

Carrot live on Sky and has the chance to say something positive about their new manager... but comes out with that :ffs:

Scott Brown lives in their heads rent free
They do realise that Gerrard won't be playing for them... don't they? :suspect:

If champions league qualifying spots were at stake, it would be a prudent investment in the short term. It won't come to that though, there just isn't enough potential return in the club for the kind of investment that would take.

I hope all the posters who are predicting that this will be a hilarious disaster are correct, but is there not a chance that this could work out for them.....? Stevie G has a great knowledge of the game and will also be able to attract some decent players. All that remains is to see how good a manager he can be. I think if I was a sevco fan I might be quite excited about the appointment.i know that the elephant in the room is money but there seems to be a "promise" of some substantial amount being made available. If nothing else, it will make for a very interesting upcoming season.
I haven't seen any evidence of great knowledge of the game. You may not need it if your financial backing is such that you can buy top players and get one over the likes of Dundee and finish in the top 6, but even the previous clowns in charge achieved that.

Gerrard and mcallister..
Sevco dream team with lots of experience between them
So many other examples of two ex players roughly the same age, roughly the same playing career roughly the same managerial career coming together and being successful.
I can't wait for next season.

They're finally admitting it then.

To those mutants progress would be someone emptying Broonie and getting sent off, he'd probably get a standing ovation. They're absolutely obsessed with him. The first thing on their mind at a new manager's unveiling is Scott Brown :cuckoo:

Think this is about a red bull thang

King out - big corporation in

Their last horcrux really is what they’d be selling here

There's more to all this that we know just now, from the resignation of directors to signing of Gerrard and King not wanting to talk about investment . I suspect there is more headlines to come. Gerrard and McAlistair aint coming without promises .

Why would a corporation "buy in" with a rookie manager in place?
