Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Could it be there was some truth in the Fenway rumours after all?

I thought it was utter mince, but I never thought Gerrard would sign because I thought King was potless. If it's true there's funding, that explains why he signed, but not why they signed him. The Fenway angle is starting to make a bit more sense.

Who knows though?
If there was serious funding being put into them it would not be on the back of a rookie manager
That's exactly what I've been saying, which is why Fenway is the only thing that seemed to make even a tiny bit of sense. It's this David Low Tweet which has me confused. How is Gerrard not joining King's circus?

I wonder who it is?
Heard about 2 hours ago that Red Bull were taking over but I didn't believe it.
Red Bulls have a nasty habit of crashing into each other

I hope all the posters who are predicting that this will be a hilarious disaster are correct, but is there not a chance that this could work out for them.....? Stevie G has a great knowledge of the game and will also be able to attract some decent players. All that remains is to see how good a manager he can be. I think if I was a sevco fan I might be quite excited about the appointment.i know that the elephant in the room is money but there seems to be a "promise" of some substantial amount being made available. If nothing else, it will make for a very interesting upcoming season.

Doesn't look like Skrtel will be his first signing. If he is questions must surely e asked.

Gerrrard and McAllister have apparently identified Martin Skrtel as Ross McRorie’s partner for next season, despite the fact that he was transferred to Fenerbahce just under two years ago and will not be available on a Bosman as his contract expires on 30.06.19. He was transferred from Liverpool at a fee of £5m. When his personal terms and agent’s fees are met, the deal will be fast approaching £7m. If this is Gerrard’s first target he evidently does not have the first clue about how cash-strapped Scotland’s third/fourth club really is. How remiss of him.
https://johnjamessite.com/
I seriously doubt they'll sign Skertl but JJ is talking out his arse if he believes the transfer value of a 33 year old with one year left on his contract will continue to rise :ffs:
I agree Skrtel will not cost multi millions to buy but at least a million if they want himm for the start of the season then you have his wages, for X amount of years, and agent fees to cover as well.

I will be surprised if this happened.

The SPFL will be programming the fixture computer at this moment to have Celtic playing their first five games against the current top six and rangers first five game against
the bottom four and St. Mirren.

If Gerrard gets the best start he can possibly get before he faces us the SMSM will have to be given heart medication and beta-blockers to calm them down.

The first rangers and Celtic game could be the defining moment for a lot of rangers fans.
This is when they will decide if Gerrard is a taig bastard or not.

King's played a blinder to get the hordes onside at renewal time. They lap up any shred of positive news about them without even scratching the surface one atom deep. Their short-sighted stubbornness will keep them where they are and they will pose no threat to us for a long while yet.
You got to hand it to the squinty eyed crook, he knows how to play them like a cheap flute.

Some of the smarter ones (I know not many) on sevco media can see this for what it is - an under 18s manager getting the rangers job.

There is always a chance he could be good, but there is a bigger chance he wont be. if they gave me the job I have a chance of being good as well.

How does he have a great knowledge of the game? Have you heard him? He's as thick as shampooe. You don't have to have a great knowledge of the game to be a great player.

The next professional match he manages will be his first.

Don't know what he was on at Fenerbache, but up to 2016, he was on £70kpw at Liverpool.
