Might have been true. I’d bet my bottom dollar if it is true, all money went to charity.

Belgrano comes across as a bit strange with that post.
It absolutely is true that he was charging £20 a pop for pictures. Lots of complaints that even at that price, some folk still couldn't get their photo with him http://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/topic/8758043/1/

Strangely, the links to all of Henrik's 'charity foundation' webpage links in the original thread no longer work http://www.henriklarsson.co.uk and http://www.henriklarssonfoundation.com

Not that a penny of it was ever going to charity anyway :loel:

Smoked like a bastard too.

Was also friends with Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, so not the best judge of character.
Very true.

Good mate stayed directly across from Henke...he lost tragically his mum and dad through cancer in short space of time and we went up for a booze session.

One night/afternoon in early summer we ran a bus (12 of us) to Lochee where the Wolfetones where playing in some parish chapel up there. Other mates dad was pally with parish priest up there so we got tickets and bus picked us up at sizeable house in Bothwell(my mates)- as I said directly acorss from henke.

Drinking most of the day bus pulls up and and horn goes for us to go out. We spill out Celtic tops and covered in tri colours. To be fair we were pretty loud and it was around 5pm & pretty sunny.

Henke was probably hiding behind his couch but would have went no where near his door all the same...cue GVB pulling up to visit him and we pretty much forgot where we where for about 30 seconds.

He got honourable pelters and my mate who stayed in the street was probably the loudest.....tried to put a scarf on him but to be fair to GVB he just laughed and walked away.

Any fresh footage? Missed it.
It'll be on Henrik's 'Greatest Hits' DVD later this year. Just in time for Christmas.

Check out SoccerAM or CelticGoals on Twitter for the good bits (i.e. Bridges, not Larsson)
Either a hun has nicked this guy's login or Larsson rode his missus; the hate is incredible!

I would still have paid him 20 quid for his picture while he was putting his clothes back on.

I paid the 20 quid to get the photo with him. Small price to pay to meet a hero. I don't care if he took every penny of the money of it and blew it on industrial strength ching and 7 Hookers.

He gave me almost unlimited joy.

I never got my photo taken with him. Somebody owes me £20.

Anyway, stick him up against Kevin Bridges and judge him on his comic timing. If that had happened when he first arrived, even though Kevin Bridges was probably only about 10 at the time, he probably wouldn't even have got on at Easter Road that day never mind anything else.

Not for me though. I'd rather my Celtic legend be quietly strong-willed, loyal, brave and assured.

I heard from a good source that Henrik doesn't put the lid down on the loo after having a pish, and despite his legendary marksmanship on the football field is a careless aimer when emptying his bladder. Drives Magdelina mental so it does, but KoK denies it all and blames Jordan.

True story, byraway.

Had the displeasure of meeting him at a charity do once. He was surprisingly up his own arse, and not VERY funny.

Did we pay him to play football or for his chat?

Who cares if he is the life and soul or boring as feck - he’s a legend that IMO, will never be surpassed.

He’s the King of Kings :rocker:

Heard another story that when Henke lived in Bothwell, he would nip along to the Tesco in Uddingston to buy his Silk Cut, and always park his motor in a parent & child spot, even if he was on his own. Sometimes he would park diagonally, taking up two spaces.

Shameful.
