Amazing that Celtic's beat modern era striker and a Celtic daft high flaying, well liked comedian can appear on TV bigging up Celtic and it still results in folk fighting like rats in a sack
Aye, was expecting to come on here and read funny anecdotes or a discussion about a particular goal.

Instead, it’s all about Henrik being shampooe at penalties, free kicks, one on one’s, who steals charity money and exploits his own fans for cash, as well as being the last guy you’d want to be with on a night out.

Did I miss anything?
Smoked like a bastard too.

Henrik, George Connelly, Paul McStay would all feature in my greatest Celtic team of players that I've watched - I loved the players, wasn't interested in their personality, but it appears that being a Celtic legend means that fans cannot comment on / question / criticise any other part of their being - seriously?

Was also friends with Giovanni Van Bronckhorst, so not the best judge of character.

Henrik was / is a god, that's not in dispute, but he was never the life and soul of the party - if you think he is / was, I'd hate to see the company you keep.
Apologies, I didn't realize that being the life of the party was the only criteria taken into consideration in the personality department.

That Gazza must have been quite the inspiration for you.

Not for me though. I'd rather my Celtic legend be quietly strong-willed, loyal, brave and assured.
Don't pay any attention to justinjest. He's normally the patter king at weddings when he shows up with his Levi 501s on.

Don't even start me on his managerial record.

Basic tactics would have been a start. Walk before you can run.

You're just trying to be controversial now. This is a facts-based thread about Henrik Larsson's performance on Soccer AM.

It'll be on Henrik's 'Greatest Hits' DVD later this year. Just in time for Christmas.

Check out SoccerAM or CelticGoals on Twitter for the good bits (i.e. Bridges, not Larsson)

Heard from a good source (i.e. I made it up), Henke was always first out the taxi and last in the door of the pub.

Incidentally - Paul McStay was apparently great company on a night out.

Carry on.
Correct. Heard a couple of funny stories from one of his team mates.

You've really got a hard on for Henrik. He was a brilliant player, he deserved his godlike worship for his performances on the park, but that doesn't make him an interesting person.
2 of my other Celtic legends, Paul McStay & George Connelly, possibly 2 of the greatest players to wear the hoops, but like Henrik, not the life and soul of the party - try to separate the player from the personality
You don't seem to get it.

You equate having a personality to being the life and soul of the party. If that is the most important personality trait for you, fair play to you.

I look at other personality traits as more important, such as perseverance, strength, loyalty, etc. All of which Henrik has in abundance.

Thus, I disagree wholeheartedly with you that Henrik doesn't have a personality.

Excellent post regarding the personality traits that make Henrik amongst some of the most fascinating people in football.

Having said that, my son is named after Henrik so I am hugely biased. (I do live in Scandinavia, which makes giving a Scandinavian name to my son substantially easier!)

Bridges, "I don't know if you take the bus much Henrik?"
Larsson, "Eh no, I haven't for a few years"

Eh, that was the joke Henrik.

Thank eff he was a great goalscorer. His TV and interview personality is up there with his free-kick and penalty-taking record. And his one-on-ones with the goalkeepers. And his promises to make this one his last international retirement. And his use of the 'Old Firm' bullshampoo years after it stopped being used by anyone else. Remember that time he was charging Celtic fans £20 a pop for a photo with him at that thing at the Thistle Hotel a few years ago? :loel:
When he was playing against Rangers, IT WAS the old firm. He wasn't referring to now.

Aye...how many party’s or nights out you been with Henke?
so, you need to "party" with someone to know they're not going to be the life and soul of a party?
If you wanted to have a good night out, who would you pick, Kevin Bridges or Henrik Larsson?
If you want someone to put the ball in the net against the scum, who would you pick, KB or HL?
You mentioned "party" as if you were out with him every other month...how do you know what he was like on a night out?

Talking nonsense. His personality was fine BTW.

Met plenty of times out walking Jordan and his little girl in Bothwell(where I stay) and would always stop for a blether or a "hello".

Always out walking his 2 kids with his wife Magdelina IIRC.

As stated by others bizarre you seem to pick up on his personality for some reason rather than marvel at him as a player and if you need to focus on him off field - great family man who never was in bother - thats why I loved him even more.

:rocker:

Your patter is bizarre to say the least.
