Bridges, "I don't know if you take the bus much Henrik?"
Larsson, "Eh no, I haven't for a few years"

Eh, that was the joke Henrik.

Thank eff he was a great goalscorer. His TV and interview personality is up there with his free-kick and penalty-taking record. And his one-on-ones with the goalkeepers. And his promises to make this one his last international retirement. And his use of the 'Old Firm' bullshampoo years after it stopped being used by anyone else. Remember that time he was charging Celtic fans £20 a pop for a photo with him at that thing at the Thistle Hotel a few years ago? :loel:
What do you expect him to say?

We have dropped the old firm tag when referring to Sevco. It was Rangers (RIP) that Henrik was referring to and he played in old firm games when there was such a thing.

Eh? Henrik was well aware that Bridges was joking about the bus.

As for the rest of your post, if that's what you choose to remember Henrik for, all the power to you.
The whole post reeks of someone who has some weird disdain for one of the greatest Celts of all time. How any Celtic fan could post anything negative about him is quite frankly bizarre.

Might have been true. I’d bet my bottom dollar if it is true, all money went to charity.

Belgrano comes across as a bit strange with that post.

It absolutely is true that he was charging £20 a pop for pictures. Lots of complaints that even at that price, some folk still couldn't get their photo with him http://kerrydalestreet.co.uk/topic/8758043/1/

Strangely, the links to all of Henrik's 'charity foundation' webpage links in the original thread no longer work http://www.henriklarsson.co.uk and http://www.henriklarssonfoundation.com

Not that a penny of it was ever going to charity anyway :loel:

Henrik was / is a god, that's not in dispute, but he was never the life and soul of the party - if you think he is / was, I'd hate to see the company you keep.

Apologies, I didn't realize that being the life of the party was the only criteria taken into consideration in the personality department.

That Gazza must have been quite the inspiration for you.

Not for me though. I'd rather my Celtic legend be quietly strong-willed, loyal, brave and assured.

so, you need to "party" with someone to know they're not going to be the life and soul of a party?
If you wanted to have a good night out, who would you pick, Kevin Bridges or Henrik Larsson?
If you want someone to put the ball in the net against the scum, who would you pick, KB or HL?

You've really got a hard on for Henrik. He was a brilliant player, he deserved his godlike worship for his performances on the park, but that doesn't make him an interesting person.
2 of my other Celtic legends, Paul McStay & George Connelly, possibly 2 of the greatest players to wear the hoops, but like Henrik, not the life and soul of the party - try to separate the player from the personality

You don't seem to get it.

You equate having a personality to being the life and soul of the party. If that is the most important personality trait for you, fair play to you.

I look at other personality traits as more important, such as perseverance, strength, loyalty, etc. All of which Henrik has in abundance.

Thus, I disagree wholeheartedly with you that Henrik doesn't have a personality.

Amazing that Celtic's beat modern era striker and a Celtic daft high flaying, well liked comedian can appear on TV bigging up Celtic and it still results in folk fighting like rats in a sack

Aye, was expecting to come on here and read funny anecdotes or a discussion about a particular goal.

Instead, it’s all about Henrik being shampooe at penalties, free kicks, one on one’s, who steals charity money and exploits his own fans for cash, as well as being the last guy you’d want to be with on a night out.

Did I miss anything?
