I had kind of forgotten what a good set of players Barnes had. I always wondered if he would have survived had Larson not got injured.

Fair enough.

The McNamara one was pretty dull. I actually thought the Alex Rae one was pretty decent, but I knew eff all about his career up until he joined them so that was what I found interesting.

The Charlie Miller one is interesting too, again because I know very little about his career. I don't really remember too much about him, but it seems like he wasted his talent in favour of booze and being a lad. :ffs:
As much as I can't stand Rae as a pundit, he's up there with the worst, his interview was good.

Love it when Simon Ferry throws in the Di Canio stories

I'd forgotten too until I watched the interview with Jackie.

Playing with no cartilage in your knee after a 'faith healer' has had a go at it is quite interesting I'd say.

The interesting stuff in the other interviews was the backroom insights and player friendships / anecdotes.

Apart from one interesting year at Rangers he's pretty much a lower league journeyman... I might be proven wrong, but he seems the least interesting guest thus far IMO.

Do you not get backroom insights or player anecdotes in the lower leagues? He seems like a character so should be a good watch.

Absolutely class interveiws , one problem though i think every single interview has some form of this

" players like your larssons, suttons, hartsons" etc

Everyone has used footballers names as plurals.

edit: Your Hartsons didn't do it in his .
You'll hate the latest one.

I’d guess the non-Rangers stories will centre around playing for Jim Leishman at Livi and playing with Dwight Yorke for Trinidad.

Growing up in Trinidad, ending up in Kirkcaldy, got over 100 caps, missed out on a WC just before it, bible thumper, motivational Twitterer, faith healer knee thing. He'll be more interesting than Boyd or the like.

Don't forget when Gordon Brown, of all people, convinced him to join Raith. He's had a more interesting career than most.
