Absolutely class interveiws , one problem though i think every single interview has some form of this

" players like your larssons, suttons, hartsons" etc

Everyone has used footballers names as plurals.

edit: Your Hartsons didn't do it in his .

I guess it's nerves, I imagine I would descend it cliché ridden nonsense if I knew what I was saying was being recorded for the worlds listening pleasure (or otherwise).

So simple to correct though. Just say

" players like larsson, sutton and Hartson."

The McNamara one was pretty dull. I actually thought the Alex Rae one was pretty decent, but I knew eff all about his career up until he joined them so that was what I found interesting.

The Charlie Miller one is interesting too, again because I know very little about his career. I don't really remember too much about him, but it seems like he wasted his talent in favour of booze and being a lad. :ffs:

Yeah I quite enjoyed his interview. He was a good player Miller especially as he was "joost a wee guy fae Castlemilk"

I watched the vid on youtube he mentioned when he got punk'd in Norway, was quite funny "Charlie! tell them nothing!!"

I watched that as well. The Norwegian presenter and editing style is the epitome of early 00's

One thing that has been very noticeable is the importance of arrogance/confidence at that level. Hartson was never shy to big himself up and state his goals return, transfer fees etc. The likes of Miller, and especially Watt, were much more understated and lacked the same level of belief which is probably why they never had anything close to the career they should have.

"People don't talk about my 45 goals in 70 games at West Ham, and how I kept them up singlehandedly on my own" he said, without missing a beat

A dressing room with the likes of Hartson, Sutton, Larsson, Thompson and Lennon all in it must have been absolutely mental. I don't think the thought of getting beat ever entered into their heads.

Agree.

Watt doesn’t seem to believe he’s good enough.

He also could be Craig Gordon’s wee brother!
