Really enjoy these interviews, Si Ferry does great work.

One of the many things that O'Connor said that left me speechless though. 'If we stayed together one more season we'd have won the league'.

Erm...no. Hibs were a good side but miles away from a title challenge nevermind winning it.

Feel sorry for O'Connor obviously had the potential but fecked it all up his nose or down his gullet, at the beginning of the interview he said that it had been 2 years (?) since his last drink but the way he kept rubbing his nose and the manner in which he done so makes me think that the marching powder still plays a main part in his life, or perhaps it's a habit he got when he was sniffing his footballing career up his nose and now it's second nature t wipe your nose every 10 seconds.

Like his stories but for a former pro footballer at 34 years old, to look like and sound like he does I'd reckon he was just another regular at the Old Salt in Leith Walk at 5 o'clock on a Sunday morning!

That young Hibs team went to Parkhead & Ibrox regularly & won eh?

The only time I remember them beating us at home was 3-1 in 2004/2005, they did Oldco twice in 2005/2006 3-0 in the League & Scottish Cup, I can't remember them doing anything else.

Our record against that young Hibs team home & away was pretty good, other than that 3-1 in 2005 they beart our reserve team in the 2003 League Cup.

It's bizarre, I can't work out if it's a joke I'm missing or a serious dig.

Is it even true?

I think that is pure crap.

Mowbray didn't fancy him at all, and that was pretty well documented at the time. Hence why he moved on.

I know Stephen very well. Same school etc. & teams growing up albeit couple of years younger at Holy Cross than me.

Great guy & person.

He was choking to leave and wanted to go. It was bizarre for me anyway that he wanted to go to England in regards to where he was in professional life- captain of Celtic.

Was that before or after he was stripped of the captaincy?
