Listened to the Strachan one today. He sounded more Scottish than I’ve ever heard him in the past. It was a bit of a distraction to be honest. |

Garry O’Connor on this evening. Five mins in & I feel a bit bad for him. His youth coach chucked a pair of boots off his face. Yogi Hughes battered him with a brush, painted his face with boot polish and left scars on his ankles & legs. |

This will be the "real football education" that they all moan about having left the game, then.

Listened to the McCoist and Charlie Miller ones. Both really good. As mentioned - Ferry is brilliant at getting the interviewee to just open up. As other have mentioned - even the players' accents change as they are no longer in 'media' mode when they chat and they probably forget there's a camera on them at moments as they're just allowed to ramble on about their football memories. There are entire generations of professional hosts and interviewers who will simply not get it - shut up, and let the interviewee speak. That's who the viewer is watching - not the ego asking the questions in the seat. In that regards wee Si doesn't a great job at getting the most out of his guests. Given that everyone who has been on it in comes across really well - I can imagine he'll probably be getting people approaching him to be a guest on the show, rather than the other way around. That could eventually be tricky though, as there may be difficult subjects or questions to bring up - and there may be a temptation to dodge them in case it upsets his guests. But hopefully they continue in the same trend. |

Just watched Gary O'Connor's, really enjoyed it. Seems like a good guy, can really hear in his voice how much the high points in his career mean to him. Feel like he has a lot of regret with the decisions he made off the pitch. |

Really do enjoy these though. Definitely feel for O'Connor to an extent. Wasn't too keen on his admission about Hibs basically taking a narrow defeat to the huns in 05 though

Watching the Garry O'Connor one now, it's actually pretty good. Wonder what kind of money Si Ferry is making off of this, if any, not sure how YouTube compensates its content creators. Would he be able to make a living out of it? |

His admission that Lokomotiv Moscow used to take their blood and clean it up is probably something he shouldn’t be announcing as well

Not at the sort of subs and viewers they get no. Main money will be from the sponsors they've got like William Hill. |

Advertising is a big way of making money out of it. There are loads of folk now that are famous and have made millions out of youtube videos. Social influencers they are no referred to as. Feck you can study courses on it at college. So yeah you can make a full time career out of it. Depends how popular the channel is Edited by nails, 1 May 2018, 08:50 PM.

Not a chance that Hibs team if they'd been kept together would have won the league. It's up there with the if George Burley stayed at Hearts they'd have become champions in 2006 nonsense. |

Aye - it's a myth that seems to have grown arms and legs over the years, despite absolutely no evidence whatsoever to back it up. With the exception of Brown - every player in that side failed to maximise their potential. I mean, Riordan and O'Connor were playing non-league football by their early 30s and both are now finished - while Brown has just had his best season at Celtic. Like most wasters, most of that side talk a good game - but done nothing to back it up. Ironically, John Collins seems to get a lot of stick for calling most of them out at time - but he was proven right in that most of them were wasters. |

Kevin Thomson was a good player aswell injuries did him in. They were a good side Whittaker, Thomson, Murphy, Brown, O'Connor, Riordan, Buzeulin, Caldwell (who I didn't rate at Celtic) but player for player us & the Huns from 2003 to 2009 were better than just about every single position. |

He felt like he could play 2 games after it. The way Simon says "ee-haa" after every question cracks me up. |
