Alashkert has played a grand total of six European ties in their history:

P4 W4 D4 L4 F12 A14

Dinamo Tbilisi and BATE Borisov seem to have been their toughest opposition. They lost those ties 1-3 and 2-4 respectively.
They've won, lost and drawn all of their games? :o

We've no chance. Or every chance. I don't know.

What do you mean? It's only a six day trip on the train via Turkey and Georgia. A six pack, tootbrush in the top pocket and a few euros should see you right.

Had a look on the RBK forum. Some are not impressad by our spelling. We might play Rosenborg. Rosenberg is the the Malmö striker with more elbow than McCulloch

Didn't like the Rosenborg games last season and I have a feeling I won't like them this season either. It's been said already but with Lustig, Boyata and Rogic away and playing until the very end of June (plus whatever holiday time they're given) it's kind of crucial that we get some cover in for this. Gamboa isn't going to play which leaves us with Jack Hendry as the option at RB. Hence :twitch:

I believe in our attack (especially if big Moussa is still here) even without Rogic but the defence could be a shampooshow:

Hendry--Jozo--Ajer--KT is not a backline which fills me with positivity.

We'd play the 3-4-3 or 3-5-2 if we didn't have a RB, ye'd imagine. Forrest plays wingback no bother. That lets Hendry play his natural position if he's needed, but big Marv should be fit by then.

Be more like

Jozo Ajer Marv
Forrest Brown Ntcham KT
McGregor
Moussa Eddy

We beat them with no striker last year, and only struggled to score due to them playing a system that'd get fitba stopped. If they're more expansive this season, that plays into our hands. If they sit and let us attack them, we'll be fine as well cos we'll score than them over the piece like last year.

They've also lost their last two in the league, and there's every chance Valur will beat them anyway.

Calm yersel. Got plenty time.

i dont think we will make it this year or they want us there. where rosenborg not our final tie last year? Now we have a reasonably difficult tie followed by two other ties if we make it. Not because our team isn't good enough or any panic from me. I just think they are putting a lot of obstacles in our way to make sure any teams outwith the the big 4 are at a very minimum when it comes to the real money.

It reminds me of how we keep drawn away in the Scottish Cup.

Wouldn't surprise me if they move the Alashkert game to the Republican stadium. Bit of a ball ache to get to Shengavit from the city centre. If anyone is going watch out for the private taxis, they will rip you off so best getting one of the service taxis. You shouldn't be paying more the £4-5 to anywhere in the city.

If anyone is heading out a day or two early remember it is Vardavar so if someone throws a bucket of water over you it's a good thing and if anyone offers you food and drink over those few days you are safe to neck it

Does Bendtner still play for them?
Forgot about that weapon. Aye, he does. Injured currently.
No he is not. Played 18 min or so for them in their last match as he is back from injury
I stand corrected. Presumed he'd have went to Russia if he had much chance of being fit.

Had another look at the draw. Astana and Zagreb could find it tough winning QR2.

Apparently they usually change their home venue for big games to the 'Republican stadium' in the capital. (EDIT: Already been posted)

Flying to this from China, gonna be a long one.

I presume it's a 5PM kick of due to the WC SF being on the same night.

Any chance the dates of the home and away legs for the 2nd round will get swapped? I seem to remember this happening in qualifiers before?

Trying to book time off for the away leg ASAP.
