I don't think Edouard is a better striker than Griffiths right now. He will be through time and further development as he has so much ability.....but right now, if I wanted goals in my team, I would play Lee ahead of him. Edouard came on leaps and bounds last season, but he's not the finished article yet. There are enough games in a season however for all three to get game iMessage.
I think Edouard is better at the things Rodgers values more, particularly the physical aspects.
I think at the moment griffiths is a better goalscorer than edouard, and that's should be valued highly by rodgers too.
Not really sure that's the case.

Edouard got 11 in 29 last year, Griffiths got 13 in 39.

When Edouard (and Mousaa for that matter) gets near 40 goals in 51 games in a season for Celtic, then he can compare himself to Griffiths.

They do certain things better, Leigh has been/is more prolific.

I wonder if he could adapt to Sinclairs role . If were gonna have the 2 big guys in the middle Griff can fairly cross a ball.

Sinclair is going to be playing wing-back by the look of it. The very position which nailed him as no use to Villa. :twitch:

He said at the moment.

How can he still be considered as you say more prolific now if he has the worst goals to games ratio of the 3?

I still think McCourt could’ve played the Pirlo role for us.

McCourt was playing last night for Finn Harps where he is playing a Pirlo type role.

Where do they play and how does one go about getting a season ticket?

What was the story today? Is Griffiths injured?
Quote:

Rodgers expects skipper Scott Brown to make the flight to Yerevan after he was on the end of some rough stuff in Dublin.

Brown was subbed at the break but Rodgers isn’t concerned.

But German defender Compper and striker Leigh Griffiths will now be given until the last minute to make the trip.

Rodgers said: “Scott is okay. He had a niggle when we were away in Austria.

“It flared up a little bit. It was similar to last year when he came off but he should – and hopefully will – be fine for Tuesday.

“It’s a little issue behind his knee. It’s nothing overly serious and it just stiffened up.

“At this point in the season I always say to the players we are here to develop our fitness so not to take any risk with injuries.

“In another game he would probably have played on but there was no point risking it.

“Leigh and Marvin were injured so they didn’t travel to Ireland. Hopefully they will come with us but we will see when we go back.”

Ffs his injuries are starting to get frustrating now. Cracking player but we need him ready and available not on the treatment table half the season.
