I'd be delighted if he signed a new deal. As good a 3rd choice striker as we could hope to have.
This.

Leigh Griffiths is a phenomenal player: unselfish, with a great work rate and creates for the team. And exactly the type we need to spend their careers with the club - the Scottish players who level out at Celtic and remain the bedrock for several seasons. He's really screwed the nut too. And by the way, I don't see him as 3rd choice. I see three strikers that can be rotated based on form keeping the others on their toes.

And the other two are likely to move after a few seasons - Leigh will prevail

I think if we had a game tomorrow and we were going with one up front, he'd be third choice right now. But I agree, it's not really that simple these days, particularly with 60-70 games to contend with. I'm delighted we have three top quality strikers, all of whom offer something a bit different but are all capable of performing at a good level. I'd still like to see us try two up front in domestic games more often next season, any combination of the three would be formidable.

I'am glad we have him.
Rather him be in the hoops than playing against us.
Looking forward to him scoring his 100th Celtic goal this season.

Would be fantastic news if he signed an extension. I want as much firepower at the club as possible and Leigh, certainly gives us that.

He also seems ok with the fact, he isn't first choice. Yes there has been times, he has said silly things like the jersey being his but over all he seems to accept he is not as good as Dembele.

Edit - not as good is the wrong phrase, what I mean is he seems to understand why BR picks Dembele. As in Dembele has far more to his game than Griffiths.

He's about as selfish as they come. Not necessarily a bad thing for a striker but can be extremely frustrating when it's not going his way.

He’s excellent, get him on a new deal and what a forward line we currently have.

"I spoke to Mr McLeish about it".

Any new contract should be on a lower salary for that.

Not sure why we need to give him an extension. He's about to turn 28 and he's contracted for the next 3 seasons. I think Rodgers is prone to handing out deals and fees through sentimentality, and there's an air of that about this.

I disagree, evidenced by his high assist levels. He obviously likes scoring and often gets frustrated when he doesnt, but that doesn't make him selfish. He's a proper team player.

And any interview that tries to trip him up when he not playing gets the same answer: 'its a team game'.

I can absolutely guarantee that new deal or not, if he was to leave, it would be to a team in a division higher than League 1.
