Churlish to criticise the man who won is the game.

People's dislike of him clouds their view. This isn't ok unless it is any of the following. - Lee Naylor. Charlie Mulgrew. Adam Matthews . Stefan Johansen, Calum McGregor, Dedryk boyata or Craig Gordon.
Hope they keep criticising away. Means he's banging the goals away and pissing them off into the bargain. Win win.
Exactly plays 45 minutes as a sub changes the game and fecking scores the winner yet people pick holes...jesus wept.

Ridiculous comment
It isn't really. It's pretty accurate given a few posters views in here about him.

Again - bang on the money.

Missed two great chances and gave the ball away a lot through low % shooting. Nobody has ever doubted that Griffiths won't score goals in Scotland but I think todays performance probably summed him up for me. Capable of moments of brilliance but doesn't do the basics right enough to be a top class striker.

I know I'll get pelters for that comment so if anyone has the ability to make a video of his involvement in the game every time he touches the ball that'd be class to back me up. Cheers.
Bang on eff all.

Shows great awareness to get into positions to miss chances and took his goal well tonight. For all the chances he has missed in his time here can you make a video of all the games it has cost us?
Absolutely. 2 blind men nodding at each other while Leigh Griffiths continues to be a fantastic footballer.

There is no point in discussing him with someone who isn’t objective.

Griffiths will always score goals in the Scottish league. There is no doubt about that.

It’s all about him though. He shoots from 20 and 25 yards from impossible angles when other players are in better positions.

He took his goal well but it’s easy to see why Rodgers doesn’t pick him every week.

If, and after tonight it’s a big if, Dembele stays, Griffiths will be the back up striker again come Feb 1st.

Disappointing miss with his one on one early on in the 2nd half, in fact just plain shampooe but made up for it creating his 2nd. Great signing and terrific return on goals.

Oh, and I totally LOVE the Griff's attitude and the way he comes across. Most excellent chap, despised by huns because he is such a good player and not feart of their bullying nonsense.

I think he’s a dreadful one on one finisher for a striker and he could definitely be improved upon. However also think he made a massive difference tonight and have never been anything but delighted when he’s scored for us.

I think my assessment of his performance was pretty fair. If he doesn't score then everybody would be tearing him to shreds.

He deserves the praise for the goal - which I gave him - and I do think the game changed when he came on as other players were able to find more space. But until he stops shooting from impossible positions on the park and starts being more composed infront of goal when he has time to think about it he'll never the striker to take us to the next level.

I'm happy for you to prove me wrong. I know everyone will just say I'm talking shampooe bla bla bla but I urge you to rewatch the game if you can with what I've said in mind. With an open mind.

also, celebrated like eff when he scored, as I always have.

Of course I am.

I can see his good and bad points.

But he won us the game so that is all that matters and yeez were booing him coz you hate him, you cried when he scored and he pumped her bird so GIRFUY and other quality Patter.

The previous thread got locked because the people who can’t see past him can’t take criticism of him.

He’s a very good SPFL striker. How many times do I have to say it?

He’s not a fantastic player or a top quality striker. I’ve seen plenty at Celtic. He isn’t in that league.

The remarkable thing is, Griffiths is the only player alongside Rogic and Roberts who is technically adept enough to bang them in from crazy angles.
You don't shoot you don't score.
He's the only striker we have who us capable from outside the 18 yards box.

There isn't any negativity - just discussion. I'm buzzing he scored tonight but I've always been able to look past the short term happiness and look at the bigger picture which I think a lot of other people struggle with.

It's not just how Leigh Griffiths plays, it's how everyone plays better when he comes on. He's lively he drags defenders around ,he gives that spark of energy that infects those around him and because of the space he creates it gets players like Sinclair and Forrest on the front foot. I know you can't really say this as we will never know but for me we would have won that by three or four if he had started. I can understand why Brendan is giving Eduard game time as we need to see what he can do but we could easily play two upfront in nearly all domestic games and just blitz teams.

He has scored goals at international level and champions league level along with being far away best scottish striker around so the domestic only argument is pony.

Great wee player who loves playing for us and tonight contributed to a win that we came on he changed it. I accept he is maybe a bit selfish but so is McGregor ans Sinclair who could pass better as well in front on goal.

Im glad to see him in the hoops a cracking wee player although think him and the gaffer dont see eye to eye at times halts him from more starts.
