Quoting limited to 3 levels deep
Theres hardly anything between them. Edouard at a much younger age with a lot more potential. I'd rather have him than Griffiths right now.
Hardly anything between them That's enough Internet for the day Ste. Away to bed You think theres a massive difference in their ability?

You think theres a massive difference in their ability? Aye. Leigh is a far superior goal scorer. Anyone whose eyes work can see that. He is also, when on form, our greatest threat from a set piece.
You are basing all this on a hypothetical arguement and not real life. Aye Edouard may turn out to be class but he is nowhere near that level yet and may not live up to your exulted expectations. At the moment he is too hot and cold.
I would bet my kids that if you polled the season ticket holders 95% would choose Leigh. You know it as well as I do but you are so far entrenched in your warped view you won't admit it.

Griffiths will always be a top striker at SPFL level but he'll never be fast enough, strong enough, or smart enough to be a top striker at the level we need him to be in Europe.
I genuinely believe that Edouard can be that guy. Hot take... but I think he can go on to have a better career than Dembele.

Mate, you would rather have Sebo that Leigh. Do you never tire of it ?
No I wouldn't. I've already said today how important it is to have someone like Griffiths in the squad and that I'd give him a new contract. I actually think Edouard can be better than Dembele. If I had the choice of keeping one out of Griff/Ed at the end of the season I'd go with Eddy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKZJdaiJF84

He is far to inconsistent to be even classed a top level SPL forward. Not in same category in that case as Griffiths.

Comeback to me when it happens and I will be happy to apologise Edouard has been very good this year whenever he has played tbh he's just not had a long enough run of games. He looked far more dangerous than Griffiths did mid week when he came on and he looked good again today in the short run out he got. Griffiths got the goal today which was vitally important but I think if you look at his overall performance he didn't really do much else. Nobody is denying Griffiths ability to score goals at this level - no one ever has.
edit - just to say Edouard has scored 8 in 25 and Griffiths has 13 in 31. I'd suspect Griffiths has played a lot more minutes in those games.

i would also wager someone playing 31 games has played more minutes than someone making 25. insightful griff has 98 goals in 178 games for celtic man come on tae eff. am not trying to laddle eddy but give the man some respect

The point is that he hasn't been outscoring him to a ridiculous degree as it was suggested.
And 31 games could be all off the bench where as the 25 could all be starts hence why I made the minutes comment.

Closing in on that 100 goals. Very few have done that in our history. I guess he will be the first pish player to do it...
